Exporting countries / companies are just going to raise their prices and pass the tariffs on to the US consumer, YOU are a US consumer aren't you?
And with Trumps tariffs being ridiculously high the prices of goods will be going up 20/30/ 40 /50 percent OR MORE and it is the US consumer that will be paying them.
That will take money out of the US economy and slow it down, as It already is people are being laid off in important industries , like the US auto industry that has a huge effect on the US economy.

It isn't falling YET because the flip floppier in chief hasn't put all his tariffs on yet.
AND again IF he ever does it will drive up the cost of just about everything you buy by 30/40 /50 percent OR MORE.
