PBS has been a boon to programming. It invented cooking shows. How many stations and people work in them? They invented kids educational TV. Flip through your TV and see how many of them exist. They were the forerunners of DNA and ancestor programming. How many shows and jobs are in that?
They started the home renovation TV concepts. Do you see how many are there now?

That was about the depth of your programming. You rightys have cobbled your reality out of lies. PBS invented many genres because corporate TV does not like to gamble. They want sure things, and what they show now is safe, not inventive and great for advertisers and corporations. I understand why you do not know better. I also know you will never learn the truth.
 
All of them on PBS were corporate sponsored to boot, i.e. infomercials. British TV was the main innovator, as were local TV stations. PBS just stole from those. Moron has never read the credits for any of those shows, obviously.
