There can be doubt in any trial. The standard for conviction is beyond reasonable doubt which means that doubt is possible, it's just the doubt would not be reasonable. It is the same standard for all convictions whether for murder or for falsifying business records. You seem to not know anything about how a business record is falsified. Writing a check to a lawyer to pay him back for money he paid your mistress and then writing in the memo of the check that the payment is for legal services he provided is a falsification of a business record. What do you think is in place to prevent someone from claiming a payment is for something it wasn't?
