These Parents Are Willing to Pay Up to $15,000 to Get Their Kids Into High School

It is not a question of need, but rather want. A good pre-school feeds into good schools, which feed into... on and on.

It all seems a little intense to me. Teaching a four year old to be bilingual, or to read and write, just seems too intense. But there are other people willing to pay big money for it to happen.
I know a girl that went through the same system I did. She speaks 5 languages and is a professional translator.
She was into that, though. The languages, ah, she was a sweetheart.

I saw Kate Beckinsale interviewed about her knowledge of Russian and French, and she said she learned them in middle school, high school, and then on into Oxford. She went to exclusive, expensive middle and high schools, which had Russian tutors to teach students in Russian. I am sure it was a lot of work for her, but it would have been a lot more work without those tutors. And Oxford would have been much harder to get into.
