They are taking our guns away !

Actually we can expect more of that bizarre type of behaviour in the near future because of mentally damaged Vets returning home with the knowledge of how to use weapons...Sad but true.

Yeah I think that's probable.

Although, most of them will drink and drug themselves to death slowly. Some will put a bullet in their own heads. But yes, a few will go off.

I another weapon I don't think you should be allowed to have though are land mines or any other booby trap type weapon. However as I have said I don't think the government should have them either.

Claymores are triggered I think so that may be ok.

Ok.

What about nuclear weapons?

covered that above no one including governments should have nuclear weapons. Nuclear weaspons kill innocent people automatically.

Mine, is limitiations on armour-piercing battlefield ammunation. Its not that "liberal" of a postion. Arnold Schwarzenneger recently signed a ban on 50-cal battlefield ammunition.

No it isn't that liberal. I disagree but I can understand. I don't draw the line there because it might be useful in fighting the military.

I must confess I entertain ideas of rebellion against our government. However I do nothing because I am too cowardly and I do not believe I have any hope of success.

Sorry I missed it.

Guns, not my big issue. Of course, it’s funny how your big issues can change on a dime. Someone I love gets killed by a gun, all of a sudden, things are different. Kind of like drunk drivers, you know?

But, I think that as a country, we should have had a better debate about this a long time ago. Instead, you have the nra running the entire debate. If guns were my big issue, I’d be agitating for us to concede that the 2nd amendment guarantees every citizen a right to own and carry any kind of gun they want to. (even though I personally don’t believe that it does, or, that at least, it’s cloudy).

Then I’d start advocating for a new amendment based on going to the American people and saying “here’s where we are today, is this what you want?” Because I don’t think that by and large the American people do want this, outside of the NRA and assorted other fruits and nuts. I don’t think that most hunters feel they need automatic weapons in order to hunt for instance.

Paranoia feeds the NRA's ranks. I know a lot of them thru the Coon hunting club I belong to. I think I am the only one there not an NRA member.
Don't hunt coons either just shoot trap and target, and socialize.
Actually I think only 2 or 3 actually hunt coons, although most do hunt something.

I'm glad to hear that Darla. Too often people choose to ignore the constitution instead of amending it even after they claim there is widespread support for it.
