I think the lefts establishment of civil rights, the womens' right to vote and voting rights are pretty good ideas and still are, if your cult would just let these things happen.
I don't disagree. But what happens on the Left is they pervert those things into privilege for some oppression for others in the name of what they call "equal rights." Their version of "equal rights" is really equal outcomes, not equal opportunity or rights.
No, the Left is using the tribes to get their way. I've seen it repeatedly here. Every time the Left loses on one of these environmental issues they find some tribe members to claim whatever is on "sacred ground" and claim that whatever the issue is has to be stopped because of it.So, "the left" is responsible for respecting the wishes of a native American tribe. You've lost your way, my friend.
I also have seen the second the tribe(s) can make a profit off of whatever the issue is, the leadership comes down hard on the ones protesting and quashes their opposition. Seems the tribal leaders are Capitalists after all.
They opposed Kitt Peak National Observatory, then Mt Graham Observatory. They opposed the south side of loop 202 in Phoenix and once the freeway was finished the tribe (Gila River in this case) wasted no time in building a "sacred" casino next to it, then put up the "sacred" billboards along it in numbers that the state would never allow off of tribal land. Now it's the Resolution copper mine. My bet is if the San Carlos Apachie tribe got say 1/2% of the mine's profit they'd shut up and crush the Apachie Stronghold group in a day.
What the tribes want is a cut of the action, not some ephemeral "sacred" something or another. That's just their excuse for getting involved because they have nothing else to work with.
