You're right as usual. If Ashli had broken into someone's house and been shot by the homeowner, these Reichtards would be hailing him as a hero and her as the criminal. Not a single one would be insisting on knowing what his name is.
Actually, you do NOT have a "right to know." The only reason you want the info is like Concart stated -- you want to harass the LEO and his family, get him fired, threaten them with death, etc. Does the Army release the names of every soldier who shoots an enemy combatant during a battle? Even during home invasions where the homeowner has shot the perps, they usually do not release the homeowner's name, only that of the perp(s).

As soon as the media gets the idea some information is being withheld that might do damage to one of their ridiculous narratives they will go out of their way to ignore it. In ancient times, the media functioned as a watch dog over the government. Now, they are essentially an arm of the government—so long as the left is in power.

Gateway Pundit DID however provide the most hilarious phony investigation on record. The 'Bob Mueller is a sexual predator' investigation. I'm still a little confused as to why they weren't sued or arrested of that one, probably because Mueller thought it was a waste of time, and Jacob Wohl is broke.
If you haven't seen it..... Gateway Pundit printed a story about Mueller harassing some woman in a Washington D.C. hotel. The allegation was based on an investigation by a company called 'SureFire Intelligence'. They had a spectacular website with pictures of their leadership team. Only problem was that the picture of the 'President' was actually a picture of Jacob Wohl, the 'mastermind' behind this plot. The website claimed the company had been started by ex-Mossad, and their chief financial investigator, Simon Frick had an impressive resume, having worked with Surefire Intelligence in Zurich after receiving a bachelors degree in International Finance. Oh, and he looked suspiciously like the actor Christoph Waltz. Because that's whose picture they used. There were a couple of other semi-famous people working there, for example their LA private investigator was actually and actor/model. And the phone number? You just can't make this stuff up. It was a number registered to Wohl's mother. The phone LITERALLY rang in his mom's basement.
Gateway Pundit lost every shred of credibility with that stunt. Anyone that links to gateway pundit is a moron.

What a story. I knew about the discredited "Mueller is a sex offender" nonsense, but not the details. No doubt he didn't bother with legal action against GP because he correctly surmised that no one in their right mind would believe that b.s. anyways. It's pretty pathetic when your argument is so devoid of quality that you have to resort to using a rag like GP as a source. But then, that particular RWer as well as several others here are not well-known for their ability to discern truth from lies. I Googled this particular story, and discovered that Wohl has a long history of making up sexual attack lies against people.

Edit: I just read that story and holy crap, how is this guy not in jail? He is definitely a typical trumptard, the end justifies the means. Had she not pulled the plug on this, there would have been three days of celebrating the downfall of Fauci by the knuckledraggers. This story nicely sums up the stupidity and evil of the Trump cult.

Like their glorious #MangoMessiah, the Gateway Pundit crew knows their audience. They understand that they are gullible fools like the one who used them as a source in this thread. For such dupes, all they need to do is plant a seed of titillating scandal and water it with somewhat-plausible "facts," and the idiots will not only believe it but pass it around. I'm not really sure what the point is though, since said gullible fools aren't likely to support/vote for the targets of their libel anyway. Maybe they get ad revenue every time one of the tards clicks on one of their stories?
