Things you can look forward to…

Republicans, if they win all three Houses plan to reintroduce a bill that cuts Social Security to Pension holders.

Will that affect any of you?
You are fear-mongering. Trump isn't going to touch social security. Take your meds.

They were sh*tting on electric car mandates (note how the authoritarian left leaves out the important bits)....

You folks really do only read the bits you want to read then start talking loudly and think it makes you sound smart.
Terry loves to bitch about how worthless electric cars are and he has plenty of thanks for it. :)

"You folks"? Who is "you folks", Damo? You've been on edge lately. Is everything okay? You should be happy Trump won in a landslide.

You folks = authoritarian leftists, aka losers of the 2024 election. You know, the ones that freak out and want the government to silence anyone that has an opinion different from theirs.

Of course, the guy I voted for lost too, but nobody ever gave a chance to the Libertarians. lol. I'm just less susceptible to the "scary" talking points thought up by the authoritarian left.

I'm not a leftist much less an authoritarian. Calling me one is interesting though.

Same here, but we need more Libertarians in Congress and top State positions before having enough clout to have a Libertarian President.

M'eh... I just am enjoying a Kamala loss... While I didn't want to vote for the "lesser of two evils" the truth of the matter is if Trump had even a small chance in this state I would have voted for him. However, it's been since 2004 that this state has had any interest in making it a contest. I get to vote my ethics and beliefs without regard to who I want to keep out of that office.

Voting for the lesser of two evils only results in more evil. It's how we got a Do Nothing Congress and a felon in the WH taking over from a demented old man.

I believe it's a civic duty to vote but that doesn't mean I have to vote for one of the two candidates the two major parties select for me.

Yes. Coming up on retirement. Thankfully due to Joe Biden's administration my 401k has gone EXTREMELY high so I'm good for the immediate future. But the market will collapse after Trump fucks something sideways.

The funniest part about the whole GOP move to gut Social Security is it will HAMMER 99% of the hardcore Trump voters FAR WORSE than it will those of us who voted for Kamala because we tend to have more education and higher level jobs so we aren't as beholden to SS as they are.

And then Medicare will also be gutted.

That's when the real fun begins.
trump has explicitly said he will not touch social security.

he's reducing foreign wars and payments to illegals for trans surgery instead.

you;re welcome, old ingrate.

Hell, blood-red Missouri just raised it's minimum wage and added paid sick time. Florida WOULD have passed abortion if the rules hadn't been changed to require 60% of the votes vs the 57% it got. Labor oriented/liberal policies are immensely popular.

Why then, do people vote for politicians that want to undermine them?

I'm surprised MO raised minimum wage. Was it a ballot measure/proposition, or by legislation?

Back when we still lived there, both STL and KC passed ballot measures raising the minimum wage for employees working within those two cities. The (R)s in Jeff City promptly passed a bill forbidding cities to raise minimum wages and that was that. MO always has been a strong union state though, so maybe unions helped.
