This Is How the NRA Ends

Darla, read the following passage please;

ps. you all are paranoid and delusional. You do realize that insane 'gun community' is limited to a few million uneducated Americans, right? There are 7 billion people on this planet. Good luck. Even Yemen thinks our gun laws are lax. Australia has very successfully regulated theirs. Do you honestly think your closed minded, idiotic view of some perceived fucking right is going to win out in the end? Do you?

You do realize that this moron actually believes that the second amendment will eventually be overturned right?

Rune I don't know what he thinks, but that post does not tell me that he believes the second amendment will be overturned. I just very highly doubt that anyone here could actually believe I thought Billy's post was about Elmer Fudd.

Darla, what does this sentence indicate to you?

. Do you honestly think your closed minded, idiotic view of some perceived fucking right is going to win out in the end? Do you?

What right could he possibly be referring to other than the right to keep and bear arms?

Well Rune, I cannot be inside his mind since I don't even know him? But I am pretty good at reading people's meanings and rarely have a misunderstanding (of course that's just my opinion), and I think that since he has stated he is a gun owner, and since he was talking to STY who as far as I understand it, believes the 2nd amendment means that guns cannot be regulated at all... I believe he meant that how some what he calls "nut" "perceives" the 2nd amendment is irrelevant, and that regulating guns is a forgone conclusion. I bet he will come back tomorrow and clarify what he mean and then we will see.

Concede on the basis of friendship...

Jesus Christ people, I'm a woman. And I honestly don't give a rat's ass about the second amendment except that if the Founding Fathers were here today, they would be regulating the crap out of the gun industry. Because most of them were smart men. Eventually it will change, it may be in 100 years. Having lived and studied in other countries, I can conclusively state that this is the only country that has an insane cowboy culture. Other countries don't have this paranoia or the murder rate. Four thousand how many dead from gunshot since Newton? How many kids have shot their siblings this spring? Want to count with me? Anyway, as I said before, natural selection at work.

Thanks for the detailed explanation of the Elmer Fudd thing. I'll consider myself insulted now.

Oh yeah, they'd sure regulate it. They made explicit provisions for the purchase and private ownership of battleships, but they don't want you to have a scary looking gun.

somehow i do not see 2/3 of both houses of congress and 3/4 of state legislatures passing a constitutional amendment regarding the the 2nd amendment anytime in the near future say for at least a few decades if not longer.

scotus has ruled that not even hand guns may be banned let alone long guns (except fully automatic firearms).

then there are the large numbers of firearms passed on from family member to family member.

now liability laws regarding the use of improperly stored firearms may stand up, but i am not even sure that would stand up in front of scotus.

so how do we keep firearms out of the hands of criminals and the mentally ill?...and the irresponsible and children except one case at a time after tragic consequences

perhaps 'gang' and firearm sentence enhancements and 1/2 century to a century of firearm related deaths

i recommend federal funding of the do not sell database where law enforcement agencies are funded to have an officer or officers dedicated to populating the do not sell database

and a requirement that firearms, ammunition and clips may not be sold or transferred without a background check - that and more teeth (enforcement) be put into straw purchases of firearms.

i would also like to see laws requiring a certification of competence for any firearm purchased.

none of the above should be a violation of the 2nd amendment.

firearm safety and proficiency of use should also be federally funded.

I was mocking Billy with that, not you. I am so sorry and I hope you will accept my apology. I never meant to insult you, and didn't think anyone would take that seriously. I forget that it's impossible to tell tone online, and of course you are new, how would you know. I feel terrible.

Interesting. Only another woman can insult you?
Your avatar has that androgynous thing down to a science by the way.

I have to actually work today, but later I will shred this retarded little rant apart for you, word by word.
Actually why bother.
I am not the only poster here.

this is pure speculation on your part. you have zero factual evidence that would indicate this. In fact, numerous historical documents indicate that the founders preferred the dangers of freedom to the supposed security of less freedom.

it is a dangerous precedent to allow some violations for a false sense of security simply because it's a foot in the door for government to usurp more power

Finally, someone on the right gets it.
I am thinking that lots of righties on here would tell you in a second I am not on the right. I am pro-choice, pro-same sex marriage, pro-drug legalization. Also pro-second amendment, pro-flat tax, think the only person that should be able to ban smoking in a restaurant is the owner.
