I believe all well-adjusted adults can agree that 50 year old men, in generally poor physical condition, parading around in flak jackets, camo, and combat helmets looks more than just mildly ridiculous.

I stopped feeling like I had to prove what a bad ass I was around age 17. And that includes dressing up in Rambo costumes.

Serving in a voluteer army during peacetime does not entitle one to cult hero status of any more stature than teachers, paramedics, firefighters, or nurses.

Yet you still talk about how gun ownership should be restricted while hiding when offered the opportunity to personally do so.

I believe all well adjusted adults can agree that if someone claims another person shouldn't own something, the one making the claim should personally take action to back it up. When are you going to try?
