This is Not Going To End Well For Some Occupiers

Some call it a turd. Some call it feces. Some call it excrement. It's all still shit.

Alias, I cannot believe you are outraged by this hacking and not outraged by the passing of the NDAA, and you still call yourself a conservative.

I am outraged by the hacking. Why do you think I posted the OP?

That is what I said. But you are not outraged by the trampling of our constitutional rights? You supported giving our gov't the legal ability to snatch US citizens from their homes without showing any evidence or just cause, and imprisoning them for as long as they want.

When our govt snatches US citizens from their homes who are not connected to terrorism then you let me know and I will help fund their defense.

And how will we know? The gov't will not be required to say what evidence they have or even that they have someone. But I can see what you mean. You are ok with trampling the US Constitution, as long as no one you know gets taken. You are ok with the rights of US citizens being kinda optional.

Our gov't has already said some of the signs of a person being a terrorist are missing fingers, owning guns, having ammunition in weatherproof storage, and owning several guns.

Who defines what "terrorist" means?

Also, what defense fund would that be? They won't get a lawyer or a trial.

I'm more afraid of being invaded by Martians.

Abraham is consided by many as our greatest President. If it's good enough for ole Abe then it's good enough for me.

Are you more concerned about Americans going about their daily lives being slaughtered by terrorists or are you more concerned with an imaginary violation of civil rights? We've already seen thousands of Americas being slaughtered right in front of our eyes. That concerns me more and I don't want to see it again if I can help it.

Imaginary?? WTF? They just voted to REMOVE our civil rights.

I am far more afraid of the lose of freedom than I am of some vague threat. How many attacks have we had on US soil in the last 10 years?? How many times have american citizens been aquitted in a trial in the last 10 years?

Do you really believe the federal gov't is going to carefully guard rights that it has already taken away?

Do you truly trust our gov't to do what is right, even if it embarrasses them?

Let me ask you in a way that might ring a bell.

Back in the 60s and 70s, when the war protests were causing all sorts of headaches for Johnson then Nixon, do you honestly believe that if this bill had been passed back then that they wouldn't have shipped loads of hippies to Gitmo?

Start a thread and all the posters can make a list and add to it the names of all Americans who are arrested and being denied their civil rights.

Do you trust your govt to run your health care?

No, I do not trust the gov't to run my healthcare and I have spoken out against the healthcare bill numerous times. Sorry about that.

So you don't trust them with your healthcare?

Of course not, that's not govt's role. Govt's role is to protect the citizens so they can live their lives pursuing happiness.

No mention of freedom. Figures.

I guess the gov't doesn't have to protect any rights? Like......

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
or

"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."
or

"In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence."

Do any of those look even vaguely familiar? The Bill Of Rights is made up of 10 amendments to the US Constitution. The NDAA allows our government to ignore almost a third of the Bill of Rights and you applaud it. As long as they don't do something horrendous like legalize gay marriage or raise taxes, huh?

This is a blatant removal of the most findamental rights we have as citizens. But as long as we can "pursue happiness", you are fine with it? You forgot the other two parts of that. The phrase is "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness". What the hell, one out of three ain't bad, huh?

Abe was a RINO. His party became the democratic party. Why do you hate freedom?

Like I said, when the govt starts rounding up American citizens in their homes for no reason then I will join you in the fight. Until then, I'll stand with ole Abe Lincoln.

You don't believe they would have used this sort of thing to ship off the protestors?

Then you must not know how much the hippies effected the presidents.
