This is "the resistance". What's your response?

"100s of New Yorkers have swarmed and shut down the Tesla dealer in Manhattan. Six have been arrested after occupying the showroom. Protests are erupting across America to reject Musk's billionaire regime. This is how we beat fascism. Mass direct action."

Contrary to what the Left always professes about being peaceful, this is the Left in actions, not words. The Left loves this sort of low-grade, mob, violence.

First the Left orders us to buy EV's. Now they destroy the most popular EV models. :palm:

Good to know Climate Change is no longer an issue.

So you want war. You want to discard the Constitution to 'save it'.

Martial law is permitted by the Constitution, Sybil.

  • Suspension of Habeas Corpus: Article I, Section 9, Clause 2 states, "The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it." During extreme emergencies—like a rebellion or invasion—the government can impose extraordinary measures, including martial law, to restore order. Congress has the authority to suspend habeas corpus, though the president might act in a crisis and seek congressional approval later.
  • Commander-in-Chief Powers: Article II, Section 2 designates the president as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. This gives the executive broad authority to use military force to address domestic threats, potentially including martial law, if deemed necessary to protect the nation. Historical examples, like Lincoln’s actions during the Civil War, lean on this power.
  • State Powers: The Tenth Amendment reserves powers to the states, and state constitutions or laws might allow governors to declare martial law in extreme cases (e.g., riots or natural disasters). This varies by state but still operates under federal constitutional limits.

Habeas Corpus is not the Constitution nor does suspending it mean martial law. Redefinition fallacies.

There is no authorization for martial law here either. Lincoln did not impose martial law. The 'Civil War' wasn't a civil war. It was a war between two nations.

The States do not have any authorization to impose martial law either. The 10th amendment does not give them this capability, since the States MUST conform to the Constitution of the United States as it applies to them.

You just want to discard the Constitution.
You want war.

Don't deny the Constitution, Sybil.
