That’s why I said earlier this psychologist was making a political statement, not a medical diagnosis. And the same applies no matter who’s doing it, right or left.

Like on JPP, people claim to be doctors and lawyers, but it's their comments, especially supporting facts, that helps Critical Thinkers to determine the veracity of the opinion.

I am a former dementia care nurse, not a physician. So I won't attempt to diagnose anyone no matter how public. That being said, however, I have noticed that Trump has at least of the early warning signs of cognitive decline: his gait. He looks okay when walking short distances (like from the wings to the podium on stage), or when he's concentrating on his gait. But when he's not, notice how he walks slumped over and with smaller, shuffling steps rather than striding. You've probably also noticed that he's now frequently shown sitting rather than walking/standing, in news clips.

It's interesting how silent the MAGATs who used to scream DEMENTIA JOE are these days, isn't it?

You somehow missed far more obvious signs from Braindead, but then Trump slumps a bit on some day and magically Owl (who isn't diagnosing, just diagnosing really) can "see" that he shuffled a bit on that day...

People who said Braindead was "running circles around staff" and was right as rain are now "not" diagnosing, but really just diagnosing, Trump with dementia because they saw his shoulders slump.

I see the possibility, the man is almost 80, but the comparison between the two of them is like sunlight to a flashlight.

Psychologists have to learn about Alzheimer's and dementia, too. They need to distinguish between a medical condition that affects the mind, vs. non-medical problems.

It's not like he wears a stethoscope to check to see if Trump has a heart. Both analysis and therapy can be done online.

That said, for a thorough diagnosis, Trump would have to submit to some tests and reveal the results. So far, he hides all of his test results and expects everyone to accept that he "aced" his cognitive exam and is the healthiest President "evah!"

The shrink didn't give a diagnosis, he gave an observation which can be verified by others observing the same issues:

“We have to see a major deterioration in functioning in language and thinking and psychomotor performance and impulse control and a whole variety of areas... what a lot of people don’t realize is that Donald Trump used to be a very articulate person.”

“He used to speak with a high level of vocabulary in very polished paragraphs. Now what we see is not only has his vocabulary gone down, but... there are times when he’s really unable to complete a thought. Sometimes he’s unable to complete a word,” Gartner continued.
