Trump and is white house told us Iran's nuclear program was obliterated and the US and world were safe from any Iran risk, from nukes, for years to come, and yet when he started this war a few months later he claimed Iran was only a week or two from being able to nuke the US.

how can both be true? How can that make sense Teflon Don?

Doubtful that is quite what “Jarod” said, but regardless, Obama didn’t stop them from enriching uranium, rather limited how much they could enrich per year and that it was closely monitored by agreed upon inspection. It wasn’t an end all agreement, however it did postpone Iran from developing a weapon any time soon. Trump ripped up the “deal” and Iran immediately started accelerating their capacities

Several notes on the treaty, it was the first “deal”anyone had ever attained from Iran, and the only one since, plus, it was negotiated and agreed upon by all the major world powers to include full Russian and Chinese involvement

And in the end, given Iran’s tenacity, Trump’s “deal,” which he has to have now for an exit ramp, won’t come close in squeezing the same out of Iran

So Obama said, "we don't want you enriching uranium but we are going to let you enriching uranium"

That is like telling a heroin addict you are going to let them use a little heroin.
