Then you won't be affected by cap and trade. Of course, if your power company also provides carbon-based electricity some of the costs of the cap and trade may be borne by you.
 
what I've heard so far is the offset to the tax is more energy breaks for poor people which prob does include southern man.

For the sake of argument, lets say Duke energy is about 1/2 nuclear and 1/2 coal. So the coal tax should be completely offset by the nuclear rebate, right?

What makes you say that? My guess is that my net worth is higher than yours. And I didn't inherit a penny of it. :)
 
I'm with the republicans 100% on this one, but hey I'm at Chevron.
Global warming (prob is happening). Is it man made, or Volcano's etc.
Look at the tools talking the most shit about it. Rich turbo-libs who fly all over the world. Do some research and see how much Co2 is produced by flying. Way more than driving an SUV for sure.
 
My point is that if the Democrats wanted to do something about global warming then they would tout real solutions, which include nuclear power. Since Captain Trade doesn't offer rebates for nuclear power, its obvious that their agenda is not as stated. :cof1:

They have to tax clothing, plastics, fertilizer, meat and milk in order to be consistent with the Captain Trade ruse.
