President Edwards would be my preference.
Same here. Well I consider him the lesser of the evils anyway. Not really happy with him either.
President Edwards would be my preference.
Well why then? You don't seem to be a big fan of Gore's, what do you find about him that is preferable to Hillary?
1) Part of it is because I don't want to see Bush/Clinton/Clinton/Bush/Bush/Clinton
2) Part of it is personal as my mother worked with the Hitlary in AR and found her to be quite dishonest and a faux "leader".
3) You would be hard pressed to find one policy of Hillarys that I agree with. Gore is not much better in my opinion, but because of the first two, I would give him the edge.
4) If it were possible for Bill to run again, I would oppose him for the same reason in number one. It has nothing to do with gender.

Oh gods....Ok.
I think that no matter what happens this election, we haven't seen the last of the bushs or the clintons though.
If Gore gets in, it will be in the next couple of weeks. IF he wins the Noble Peace Prize next week, it might propell a "grass roots", Draft Gore movement, which I am sure Gore will have set up. Then Gore would jump in and reluctantly accept the responsability of running.
I doubt it will happen, if Democrats were unhappy with the choices, like Republicans seem to be, he would have a better chance.
What type of work did your mother do with Senator Clinton?
John ellis bush will probably have a go in 2012.
Might be another gore/Bush battle.
Is that Jeb?
Yes, that is what I think too. I figure if a dem gets in this time, and the Iraqi mess (by then bush will have bombed Iran, widening the war, and there is more than one reason they are going to widen this war) does not get cleared up, that is four years of right wing venom machine revisionist history, priming the country for a "return to big balls" in 2012, and then Jeb comes swinging in. A distinct possibility.
I think you underestimate the selling power of a Hillary presidency on the right. I think that as splintered at the Right might SEEM at this point Hillary will be the Gorilla Glue that puts the Republican party back together. My bet is Hillary can't win her husbands home state. She will win New York unless Guilie is the candidate then I think those electoral votes are a toss up. She will probably win Illinois and Ohio (if they have fixed their probs) but I think even California is a toss up with Guilie as the candidate. California likes their moderate looking Repubs. Hillary has a very good chance of giving us another 4 years of a republican presidency.Agree on your assessment of Thompson. Rudy is definitely not coming off well.
I think you are correct on Romney being the best candidate for the Reps at this time... which is very sad.
We are going to get stuck with Hitlary. Not good.
I doubt we will see another Bush with the nomination.John ellis bush will probably have a go in 2012.

God I hope the above is not even remotely close to what will happen.
While the Dems certainly gave Bush that ability to go after the Revolutionary Guard as terrorists... I still cannot see how he bombs Iran prior to leaving office.
That would be great. A guy that made millions who know wants to do all he can to limit how many other people can make millions by pushing programs that will pressure the American tax payer and stunt economic growth. He is just too much of a socialist for me.President Edwards would be my preference.
Yep Jeb, most do not even know his real name.Is that Jeb?
