In the brief age of Obama, we have had "truthers," "birthers," tea party activists and town-hall dissenters.

Comes now, the "Oath Keepers." And who might they be?

Writes Alan Maimon in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Oath Keepers, depending on where one stands, are "either strident defenders of liberty or dangerous peddlers of paranoia."

Formed in March, they are ex-military and police who repledge themselves to defend the Constitution, even if it means disobeying orders. If the U.S. government ordered law enforcement agencies to violate Second Amendment rights by disarming the people, Oath Keepers will not obey.

"The whole point of Oath Keepers is to stop a dictatorship from ever happening here," says founding father Stewart Rhodes, an ex-Army paratrooper and Yale-trained lawyer. "My focus is on the guys with the guns, because they can't do it without them.

"We say if the American people decide it's time for a revolution, we'll fight with you."

Prediction: Brother Rhodes is headed for cable stardom.

And if the Pelosi-Reid progressives went postal over town-hall protesters, calling them "un-American," "Nazis" and "evil-mongers," one can imagine what they will do with the Oath Keepers.

Its gonna get interesting....there are some folks that think fighting for their country is worth the trouble....
maybe its time to pick sides...Obamits or Partiots..

Let the hysteria begin!

Exactly why are we having a revolution?

I have heard some plans from Obama that I dislike, but I have seen nothing actually happen that is worth killing anyone over.

We're not having a revolution....but the reasons in favor of one (a peaceful one) are growing....like

Rep. Edolphus Towns (D-N.Y.) locked Republicans out of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee room to keep them from meeting when Democrats aren’t present.

Nah, they just took a page from the republican playbook.

"The partisan sniping recalls a similarly bitter name-calling match between House Republicans and Democrats on the Ways and Means Committee in 2003 when Republicans controlled the majority and former Rep. Bill Thomas (R-Calif.) chaired the panel. The episode ended in Thomas, known for his acerbic tongue, summoning the Capitol Police to evict an outraged gaggle of Democratic colleagues from a library in the Longworth House office building.

The committee had convened that morning to consider a bipartisan bill that would revise the nation's pension and retirement-saving system.

Democrats objected when Thomas brought up a 90-page substitute measure that had been released shortly before midnight the night before. Democrats said they needed more time to read it. Thomas disagreed.

In response, Democrats objected to a normally perfunctory motion to dispense with the reading of the dense legislation. A clerk obligingly began reading it line by line.

Democrats departed to a library just off the main hearing room, leaving only Rep. Fortney "Pete" Stark (D-Calif.) to prevent the Republicans from obtaining unanimous consent to skip the reading. After a few minutes, Thomas asked again for the unanimous consent, and instantly brought down his gavel. Stark told reporters he had objected, but Thomas had replied, "You're too late."

Even before Thomas gaveled the reading to an end, he had directed staff to call the Capitol Police to remove the Democrats form the library."

Remember that and the revolution that followed. That was awesome.

no neocons got there asses kicked so bad they have to form clubs to chat about shotting people like a bunch of old hens knitting.

If the Neocons want a revolution over the plans of a democratically elected government... Id call that Unamerican!

If we are going to have a revolution let it be a ballot box revolution, that is the American way!

Too bad this organization did not exist after Katrina when mayor Nagin and his police chief stole legally owned weapons from gun owners. This is why the right is so terrified of left leaning politicians. They ordered police to go and remove firearms from owners by force and then those people were not even given reciepts so they could claim their weapons after the federal court ordered them returned. This was left leaning politics at its best.

If that is true it is/was clearly wrong!

idiots that think the 'oath keepers' are revolutionaries are......well you're idiots.

the oath keepers are not about initiating violent action. they are about refusing unconstitutional orders.
