medical marijuana has had plenty of scientific backing. you are doing the equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears.

That said, drug prohibition is bullshit, and I fully admit my interest in medical marijuana legalization is primarily to get people comfortable with the idea of marijuana so I can blaze all day 4 ever and ever. It won't be long now. Smoke weed every day.

21 is as arbitrary for marijuana as it is for alcohol. If you were looking for a reason why they chose 21 then even someone as severely stupid as you should have been able to put it together and see that they just went with the established and accepted standard.

Truthfully, I am of the opinion that we either need to bump up the age requirements for serving in the military to age 21 or lower the consumption age to 18. If you're old enough to die a horrible death in the service of the country, you should be old enough to enjoy a beer or a time legally.

I agree. Still we recognize that children should be prohibited from certain goods, activities and relationships and there is no bright red line on when they are ready.
