To anyone who plans on having kids someday

Oh god----are you one of those liberials that think the population is killing the planet? Well, it may be true--who knows. How about all the greens kill themselfs? Problem solved--and you can raise your own blood.

I'm currently waging a war against kids across the globe. That would go completely against everything that I stand for.

I used to belive that it is something I would do. But having had a child I can see the joy and benefit of having one of your own. Now as far as having a second or third who was adopted. The reason I would not is because I am afraid the child would have a greater likelyhood of having major problems that I could not deal with. Raising children is already hard enough, a special needs child would likely be more than I can handle.

What kind of problems?

"why would I adopt one if I can make my own and have fun doing it?"

So you can save a poor child's life.

"...problems more common in places like Eastern Europe. But "the country of origin doesn't matter so much as the child's experience," says Dr. Dana Johnson, director of the University of Minnesota's International Adoption Clinic. Some are found to suffer from fetal alcohol syndrome, mental illness or reactive attachment disorder, an inability to bond with a parent. Prospective families undergo an arduous screening process, including home visits, and specify how much disability they can handle. But even families who specifically request a "healthy" child sometimes go home with a troubled one. In some cases, the mismatch is inadvertent. But in others, orphanages or adoption agencies overseas—eager to find homes for difficult children in their care—mislead prospective parents or fail to disclose the full extent of a child's problems or personal history........"

Blackflag, are you pro-choice?

Excuse me, but YOU'RE THE ONE that asked what kinds of problems. I merely provided examples. I never made that claim and I don't appreciate the inference.

Yes and those problems don't speak for every kid. That paragraph made it seem like adopting a child is filled with tons of problems and it's better to not do it.

"I don't know what that has to do with it but I'm neither really...I guess.

I just don't really care about it."

Well if you had said you were pro-life, then I would have told you to put up or shut up about adoption. Lots of Pro-lifers claim they love life and children but when someone asks them to adopt they say "it ain't my problem"

I will agree to that.
