It doesnt mean your AGAINST Bush in 2007 now that he is unpopular by the general public....

That takes no political courage.... Thats a Chuck Hagel cowardly move...

A liberal is somebody who will call out the stupidity and cowardly democrats like Desh and Cypress.

A liberal is somebody who opposed the War in Iraq in 2003.... NOT 2007

A liberal is somebody who wants to impeach BUSH

A liberal is somebody who believes in affirmative action

A liberal is somebody who voted AGAINST the Patriot Act

A liberal is somebody who is willing to say flat out Bush stole both 2000 and 2004 elections....

A liberal is saying the truth even when 90% of the people are against you...

A liberal is somebody who believes Condi Rice is just a token...

Watermark my friend, i'm glad your changing your views to the better...But you still have alot to learn.

You should try and start learning some liberal views....go to 2 of the best...DailyKos and MyDD...

CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, none of these are liberal networks...

The question of what is a "liberal" is a very good one.

Too many, although not all, of those who call themselves liberal today are not the kind of people I'd want to get stuck in a foxhole with.

You are not a liberal you are just a stupid spazzy emo kid that can't tie his shoes.

Love the Grind quote of Watermark...

And Watermark you have no principles. Flip Flopping .....

Seriously.... I trust Dano more than I trust you bro....

At least you know where Dano stands....Watermark tomorrow you could go back to being another neolibertarian...

Strangely enough that reminds me of the tendency of some on the left (can't speak for the right, never been right wing so can't reference those of that persuasion) to demand that their associates (me for example) toe the line on what it means to be "left". Stray from the doctrinal path and watch the calumny. While I appreciate the idea in the post that consistency is important I also think it's more useful to examine policy issues on their merits as they arise, rather than be given a template to be applied on direction of a factional boss (I'm referencing what used to happen in my experience where I live).

CK is one confused little bugger.

He thinks not agreeing with him is antiliberal.

He puts me on the list of people who he thinks is phoney because he is angry at me for taking him to task on some of the completetly idiotic things he has said in the past.

He does this to Cy also.

No that was Grind bitchslapping Watermark down...

And Desh thinks I accuse her of being a Lieberman Democrat because I dislike her....

No I accuse Desh as a Lieberman Democrat cause thats how she votes like one....

For example on her last vote she sides with

Beefy, Damocles, DigitalDave, Grind, KingRaw!, Obfuscate, Socrtease, Thorn, tinfoil, Watermark, Young Libertarian....

Ya i dont see any liberals in that voting group...

CK

Affirmative action is racial and gender disrcrimination. That's not liberal, it's a small minded revenge-oriented viewpoint.

Too many, although not all, of those who call themselves liberal today are not the kind of people I'd want to get stuck in a foxhole with.

I'd say that generally speaking in today's political terms, a liberal is one who wants government to regulate the economy to a very substantial degree, wants to government be involved in (most) social matters to a lesser degree, and wants an interventionist foreign policy more aligned with Western Europe/U.N. Generally, a liberal is a moderate socialist who at least wants to protect most civil liberties.

Out of the Democratic contenders for President, I'd say that Kucinich, Gravel, and to a lesser extent Obama fits this description of a liberal. Clinton and Edwards don't give a toss about social issues and civil liberties. They're just statists who take a left-center position.

What vote would that be oh one who calls American troops murderers and the like?

What vote would that be oh one who calls American troops murderers and the like?

Oh sorry you think American soldiers are saviors of Iraq right....

Rose petals and confetti down Baghdad Avenue...

Thanks Desh you are officially a moron..

CK

What vote would that be oh one who calls American troops murderers and the like?

No, that would be the vote where supertard voted that he supports Bush in order to skew the results - Watermark's dopey thread.

Then Watermark announced that it was a public poll where you could see how people voted, and there's CanadianTard, voting that he supports W. Then as a cherry on top, supertard tries to spin it by saying he's a proxy vote for those of us that he's trying to flame.

Yes, he's that stupid.

It doesnt mean your AGAINST Bush in 2007 now that he is unpopular by the general public....
I agree so far.

That takes no political courage.... Thats a Chuck Hagel cowardly move...
I still agree.

A liberal is somebody who will call out the stupidity and cowardly democrats like Desh and Cypress.
No, that is called sentience.

A liberal is somebody who opposed the War in Iraq in 2003.... NOT 2007
I suppose that would be difficult to argue.

A liberal is somebody who wants to impeach BUSH
No, that is called being undemocratic. Bush has nothing to warrant impeachment, although he should have not been elected, perhaps.

A liberal is somebody who believes in affirmative action
No, that is called a racist. A human being would hire based solely on qualification and hire while completely ignorant of the race and gender of the possible employee.

A liberal is somebody who voted AGAINST the Patriot Act
No one outside of Congress voted on the Patriot Act, so that is unfortunate for 99 percent of the country.

A liberal is somebody who is willing to say flat out Bush stole both 2000 and 2004 elections....
No, a dogmatic retard is someone willing to say Bush stole the election but never complain about the electoral process when his own candidate is in office.

A liberal is saying the truth even when 90% of the people are against you...
I think you defined libertarianism, not liberalism.

A liberal is somebody who believes Condi Rice is just a token...
Again, a racist. The ironic thing about this racism is that if Bush had an all-white staff for his entire tenure as President, you would be complaining about the lack of minority representation.

Watermark my friend, i'm glad your changing your views to the better...But you still have alot to learn.
Yes, he does, but not from you.

You should try and start learning some liberal views....go to 2 of the best...DailyKos and MyDD...
Websites often have spotless reputations and impeccable integrity.

CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, none of these are liberal networks...

CK
No network should be liberal or conservative in the first place, if you actually want a free society.

Just because a president was elected semi-democratically at one point in time doesn't mean he will always enjoy the support of society. It isn't undemocratic to throw him out of office if he's screwed up badly.
