Toe-Tapper Duet

Ha! Not in our house; I'm the one who fixes nearly everything! :tongout:

Are you really? You know, my mom was always the one too. My dad could hardly put a nail in the wall. It was kind of funny. Both my brothers take after him, completely useless. My mother is always bitching, now that she is older and can't do everything she used to do (she has athritis), that you would never know she had two healthy, big, strong sons, because they can't do shit.

LOL! Well, I don't have any brothers and am the oldest, so my Dad taught me to use his tools. Nobody ever told me I couldn't do something. I love figuring out how things work; helps a lot in a lab where so much of what we do is unique and we have to make much of our equipment. That just spills over into home life too.

This is like saying, "No, I like him for his brains!"... or I read the Home Depot magazine for the articles.

LOL!:p Well, I do love him for his brains, and his personality, and besides he's gorgeous. So I don't care if I fix things in the house; he takes care of most of the outside.

I think that's very cool. It just made me think of something, the day before yesterday, in the morning, I was driving on the highway, and I actually saw a young, very goodlooking girl, changing her own tire. And as I passed she jerked the old tire off, and turned, I guess to get the spare, and I just felt like cheering! I have never learned how to change a tire. I really should.

Me neither! I think I must have been extremely lucky so far! I sort of know what to do, but am not sure where the jack etc. are in the Jeep. In the old one it was under the hood.

On the other hand, around here there are always people eager to help. I stopped on the way home one day to take a picture of a beautiful sunflower field and somebody stopped right away to ask if I needed help. Whatever complaints one might have about being so isolated sort of pale in light of things like that.

My dad is a fix-it wiz. I can't do $hit and I'll let you know how good my boyfriend is at fixing things.

That's what AAA is for.
