Ten of those city's names start with "S?" Eight are Spanish names? All but two are next to the Pacific Ocean? Maybe I'm missing something... :awesome:

Left Coast and New York City <--- Said like in the Pace picante sauce commercial.

Makes me wonder 'Why are they Homeless?'
and 'Why aren't we doing something about it?'.

Why is there such a high concentration in one area?
What would you suggest be done about it?
Personally I’d put up more “No Camping” signs.

No Florida cities, because they learned their lessons about the absolute stupidly of being hospitable to vagrants?

Just a guess.

Probably Vagrancy Laws ... and the Enforcement of such Laws.

How much money is thrown at the Homeless People Industry and various services matters a lot, for a lot of these West coast cities that is about $100,000 per year per. And the numbers are just exploding. And the WOKE want to build them all apartments that they would not need to pay for, they would not even need to get treatment for their "issues".

"Houston, we have a problem"

Well, they are Homeless, so there IS a Problem. And no one is coming up with a Solution and/or willing to Pay for it.

Florida of course was the first place to really take off with Vagrant Tourism. I cant remember when that was at the moment but naturally the kind of people who want to live on the streets went to Florida first. So would you.

In San Francisco awhile back they passed a $1 billion + bond for services/housing for the homeless. Passed with a pretty high percentage. What's funny/sad is they are having trouble spending the money because they can't get approval to put the housing anywhere. No matter where they go in the City they get push back and it gets blocked.

On one hand it's understandable that most people don't want homeless shelters near them. But yeah...

Yup.

1) people simply cannot afford to even rent in these places.

Hawaii, California, Washington State, Massachusetts and Oregon are #1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 in highest, average house value in America.
And NYC is much higher than all the states at over $785K per.

(scroll about 1/4 down the page)

2) the state and federal governments are not doing REMOTELY enough to provide shelter (NOT MONETARY HANDOUTS OR FREE APARTMENTS...SHELTER) for the homeless in America.

That is why.

There's a definite homeless population here. A lot end up in jail for vagrancy/illegal fishing. :(

To me?
If the government is not prepared to offer every, homeless person basic shelter - like a cot in a heated/cooled building (in every, major city)?
Then they have no right to charge people with vagrancy unless those people refuse to accept the government shelter.

If this inflation keeps rising?
There will be a LOT more homeless people?
The solution from the government better be more than just charging them with vagrancy.

And a LOT of these homeless are vets.
That is disgraceful.
No vet should EVER be homeless unless he/she chooses to be.

you mean besides (largely) sunny and warm ?

urban outdoorsmen would naturally flock to such climes.

the only other common denominator is a willingness of the municipal governments to make camping out there attractive in other ways.
