The problem with your argument is that a good 80% of what is secret and thus kept from us should not be.
Government secrets to a great degree are in place to protect the criminals.

Trump will only get another 12 Russians in the W H and not want another American , let alone a Russian speaking American in the room or have another meeting with Putin or some more Chinese all without another American in the room and just give / sell our secrets to them like he may have in his last term.
