His family, friends, employer, and anyone reading his social media to step up for him...and if he refused to cooperate, notify authorities...They Had to know that their loved one was experiencing serious instability...and very possibly could be capable of harming themselves or others. Without that intervention, we saw what happened...

I am as deeply 'left' as anyone here and understand what you say is true but i have always seen that as political correctness for political correctness sake.

And i get why they do it. You are not going to help someone who suffers from chronic depression, sociopathy, gender dysphoria, etc to keep telling them they are mentally ill, when that term has been so stigmatized by those who weaponize it as negative.

But it is like saying someone is 'vertically challenged' or 'differently abled', etc, etc, to get away from saying 'short' or 'disabled' ... it is being done for political (correctness) reason and not really for accuracy.
