Republicans keep helping make it so, when they find a place closer to center again they will do fine, but so long as they stick with the fringes of society they will continue to lose ground, pretty simple actually.
 
The "base" USED to be a group with hardcore conservative principles.

Now - especially w/ MTG indicating that she had a great, supportive call w/ Trump yesterday - it's really a group of conspiracy enthusiasts. They're way out past the boundaries of rational thought.

To appease them now, you have to nod thoughtfully when they say things like "Jewish lasers in the sky." That's where the GOP is right now.

It wasn’t even Mullet’s conclusions you goof ball. It was so obvious he didn’t run the show when he appeared before Congress it was almost hard to watch.

Trump called it: the Mullet investigation was run by angry democrats and they came up empty.
