The interview just aired on Hannity’s 9 PM show. Below are three notable clips. A lot of the discussion was a rehash of things we’ve been hearing for weeks or months.
But though he didn’t say it directly, the clear import of his account is that a primary or perhaps the primary topic of their conversation was Robert Mueller’s investigation.
Trump repeated that President Putin confirmed that there was no collusion.

Sounds right. Putin pitched his lament to the President and the President lamented right back. Just like a good little President.

Politically, Trump’s lack of obeisance to the meddling narrative was a screw up.

In terms of our relationship with Russia, things seemed to go well enough.

I’m a results kind of guy, so let’s see how it pans out.
 
I really do hope and pray he is some kind of genius too smart for me to even understand and he is making all the smart moves for his country. I would not bet my dogfish 60 on it, but I really really hope...

he's pursuing a normal course of trying to improve Russian relations -which are the worse since the Cuban missile crisis.

Most establishment repubs have been against Mr. Trump since he announced his candidacy. Even some of Fox's talking heads, too. I guess Fox really is fair and balanced.

He’s no genius.

But he’s an outside of the box pragmatist that is pissing off some of the same people on the right that the Left used to hate with a passion—not without good reason, in a few instances. He has no stake in many of the ideologies that have made our foreign policy the mess that it is. Keep in mind Trump inherited our Russian relationship.

Yesterday set the establishment on its ear. What it means for our relationship with Russia is another matter entirely. That’s all that really matters to me.

Yep, ... and Obama meddled in the Ukraine election, ... which caused Vlad to respond by taking the Crimea ... and Obama let him do it.
