Well, in this case they don't go out to vote and the other side wins, even when it is the most hated republican since Nixon resigned. As I said, they change what they are doing or they lose, and they didn't change what they were doing and they lost...

I suppose, but it's not as easy as it sounds.

I certainly blame the party, and those who tried to keep the state of Biden's decline from the masses - but voters were just scared. They were dealt a hand and just tried to play it as best they could. I can't be too hard on the voters or populace for that.

I think the people here acted just like everyone else. Actively ignoring warnings they pressed on... Just throwing your hands up and not affecting change in the party only ensures that it will happen repeatedly. People here are activists, they should not just throw their hands up and let the "leaders" decide. Vote and make sure those leaders hear you. People can learn from history, the party will not, you need people to tell them how to act.

That is my best bet. Though the OP makes it seem like Trump personally went in there and told them not to report... I think they weren't there for 4 weeks and need to catch up a bit. We'll get a revised report, and it will reflect the closure cost to the economy.

It's not uncommon for trump to take credit for something he had no part in. Likewise, he likes to claim he is doing something that he has absolutely no control over.

And given that horrid debate performance, he stepped away. Harris was more than qualified to sit in the WH. The election hinged on those who refused to vote, or spite voted. It's possible that they blamed Harris for what they perceived as Biden's policies re. Israel. It's possible that they blamed Harris for leftover trump inflation.

No matter the reason, kids and women allowed trump to be re elected. Like Hillary, Harris was an excellent choice to lead the nation, albeit a terrible candidate. Unfortunately, our elections are now a reality show with likeability being more important than qualification.

That is the worst, most bullshit transference of responsibility for a calamity I've ever heard. The political scum of the American right voted Trump into office...a person who has constantly shown that he is incapable of handling the duties of the office and incapable of reasonably handling power of the sort conferred on the president of the United States.

I certainly think that the economy is in far worse shape than we are being told, and that this information is being kept from the people as best as possible.
