Trump considering executive order to shut down Department of Education: report

The department of education has literally nothing to do with that. All the DOE does is give money to schools for food, that can be done through a different department with ease. We have so many duplicated efforts in government, getting rid of this department will not even change what your schools get by the time things are done.
It also monitors schools for profit, like Trump U, which doesn’t take a lot to understand Trump’s real motive

You told that lie yesterday and I dragged you with the facts. From the NY Times in fact.

The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) reveals stagnant or declining scores in core subjects like reading and math since the 1990s.

International benchmarks like PISA also reflect the U.S. falling behind.

With no significant rise in educational achievement correlating with the spending surge, Elon’s quite accurate assertion that there's been no actual improvement in education post-Department of Education is important to take note of.

This data supports the view that increased federal involvement hasn't translated into better educational results.
