You would think that a devout Christian like Donald tRump would have his own bible and wouldn't have to borrow one. Then again, the only thing that tRump holds on Sundays are cheeseburgers and golf clubs. No wonder that book felt so strange to him.

Hello Tacomaman,

He prays for birdies every time he plays golf.

And of course, the odds are improved if the lie is.

Look the other way, Lindsey. It wouldn't be wise to notice if DT is breaking the rules of golf. That could lead to getting tweet-shamed.

I suppose you would like to have seen him burst into flames for touching a bible too.. :palm:

Is nothing too trivial to pillory Trump for, because this is truly trivial...

Sure it is trivial if you view it like that.

Do you expect us to believe even you believe the stunt was just to hold up a book?? He would have been better served if he held up one w/ his face on the cover perhaps

he held up a symbol wtf he was hoping to project is anyone's guess but it seems to have been another universal fail......

You think Trump's hypocrisy is 'trivial'? He has volunteered many times that the Bible is his favorite book. But when asked to cite a favorite verse, he couldn't.

Honestly, what do you see in this transparent charlatan?

I see it as trivial. Trump had a photo op. So? All Presidents do photo ops when it benefits them. Why should we hold Trump to a different standard? Accept it for what it was.

As for his inability to quote a favorite verse... Meh. Whether he's talking smack or just doesn't have one, I see it as no big deal either way. You may take it more seriously. That's your Right.

Burnt his hands.

At Liberty school, he tried to pretend he liked the bible. He cited a passage that mentioned the word liberty. He thought that since it used the name of the school. it would certainly be the student's favorite. It was ridiculous. Then he mentioned 2 Corinthians. That has been a running joke for 3 years. Trump is not religious and is likely an atheist. He lied about abortion. He has backed it for decades.

The guy's a politician! Of course he pandered to the audience. What politician doesn't pander to the audience? I have a problem with it when detractors of some politician or political group refuse to apply the same standard to the politicians and party they like.

As for Trump's position on religion, I suspect he's a Secularist for the most part. That is, he doesn't give a rat's patoot about religion. An Atheist actively believes there is no god or gods and takes that position with religious fervor. Secularists ignore religion because it's unimportant to them, it's meaningless for them. I'd suspect that's really where Trump is. I don't have time for that religious crap. My tee time is in half-an-hour and I have to smooze some Japanese businessmen on a deal this afternoon... I see that as the quintessential Trump.

Absolutely not trivial, Trump has ridden his fake religiosity hard enough to capture the evangelical and much Christian vote. If they checked at all, they would find out it is all a lie.

Not at all. Just another glaring example of tRumps hipocrisy and the fools that lap it up like kittens with a warm bowl of milk.

Please enlighten us as to what other POTUS used tear gas an law enforcement to remove a crowd for a photo op? You cant. The fact that you would justify such actions speaks volumes....(
