Trump has almost no campaign money

He didn't need any money to beat Jeb, who was outspending him, something like 15:1.

He's not running against Jeb though. And he barely has a campaign team put together nationally. And he's raising no money for the rest of the party (assuming keeping any control in Congress is important to you). He's getting laughed at by right-wingers on twitter. I can only imagine what liberals are saying.

Oh that's right the General election has more moronic sheeple who watch TV ads then go out and vote. I forgot.

Dude, you sound like a liberal saying that. They're the ones arguing to get money out of politics etc.

Liberals on twitter right now are fascinated with the 35k he spent on advertising with "Draper Sterling" in NH. Well, I am anyway. The question must be asked:

Does Don Draper Yet Live?

I'm kinda obsessed with Don Draper. This is pretty pretty big news alright.

only thing i will say is that hillary outspent Trump maybe 10 to 1 in the primary and was able to win his primary before hers.

He's a complete fraud. He ran a very successful con on the Republican party. He's not a billionaire. He's not a mogul. If he had the money he claims to have he'd infuse his campaign coffers...after all he claimed he could self-fund the entire campaign. They fired Lewandowski and The New Yorker is reporting that the Trump kids fired questions at him in the meeting this morning. Why don't we have any staff? Why don't was have any infrastructure? There's no money fools. That 100k cash bomb he begged for and called an "emergency" last week, that sounds like payroll to me. He couldn't meet payroll for the few staffers he does have. He's not a real candidate.

Yet, millions of Americans support him.

Was there ever a truer statement than "there's a sucker born every minute"?

If after today the party actually allows him to be nominated next month, they are making complete fools of themselves. They're between a rock and a hard place - keep him and go down in flames, cut him loose and lose about 30% of their base in November. But after today, do they really have any choice? How can they go forward like this? This is a laughingstock.

I knew the reason they hadn't parted with the vet money was because they were using it to run the campaign. When they had to cough up that up, short notice, that hurt.

Trump thought they could run the whole campaign on his appearances and his free media, lol

You can't run as man who wants to help the little people when you won't meet the public, shake hands, eat their local fare.

Darla is correct, Trump is a fraud, a laughingstock and like the Congressmen from SC said, he isn't just an embarrassment to the Republican Party, he is an embarrassment to the USA, not those exact words, but something similar.

Funny you ask that.

Just yesterday I was thinking about that 'fool some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time..........."quote

The main difference here, is that Hillary will do what Jeb et al didn't....reduce the process to a mudslinging affair. In the primaries, the other candidates thought it was important to remain 'presidential' as they participated in a Jerry Springer slugfest. Not once was Trump called on any of his claims. Not once was he called on his dirty dealings in the past.

Hillary won't make that mistake.

Yes well she is hardly saintly now is she?

There's a debate I'm seeing on twitter about the consequences of this revelation. Between political pros, many of whom have managed campaigns...not your typical JPP guy posting a bunch of nonsense his mommy was impressed with. To be sure, I don't give these "pros" that much more credence than I give the dopes posting here. They are all men too after all.

Anyway, some of them say the big donors checkbooks just snapped shut because Trump has revealed himself to be a joke, a fraud, and a clown. Not a real candidate. Others are saying the opposite. Now that they know how bad it is, and how broke he is, they're going to donate to save the party, or at least to insulate it as much as possible downticket from the looming fiasco.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

the best thing that could happen to trump is if he is forced to run with 0 big money donors. I think his biggest mistake this election was talking to the donors. I think it would be of a bigger benefit to him to run a shoestring campaign than to get money from them.

Yes...and I bet your mom told you this was smart thinking and you should put it on the internet so everyone else can see how smart her boy is.

I would tend to agree, especially about the down ticket issues. Truthfully, that's all the establishment can look toward at this point.

'Lil Donald" made that excuse yesterday in an interview. He talked about 'lean and mean', which is supposedly what they believe the govt. should be anyway.

are you kidding me? The establishment is estatic at this point. They want and are pushing for 8 years of hillary. It will be a continuation of bush and obama.
