new CNBC/Change Research Poll has President Donald Trump holding a slim lead over former Vice President Joe Biden in six battleground states

Potential voters in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin are split along party lines when it comes to whether they believe a second wave of the new coronavirus is coming, and who's to blame if there is a second wave, the results showed.

The survey, which polled 5,408 likely voters between May 15 and May 17, showed a tight hypothetical race with Trump holding a 48-46 lead over Biden with all voters, and a 41-32 lead among independent voters, according to the poll.

On issues related to the economy, Trump leads Biden 51-40 among likely voters, but when it comes to which candidate would do a better job handling the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S. if there is a second wave, the results showed a dead heat.

Swing-state Republicans warn Trump's reelection is on shaky ground


Donald Trump has made clear he will attack Joe Biden unmercifully in order to ensure the election is a choice between him and Biden — rather than an up-or-down vote on the president’s handling of the coronavirus.
Scott Walker has a different view, at least when it comes to Trump's chances in the all-important battleground state of Wisconsin.

“I think it still boils down to a referendum on the president. They’ll beat up on Biden and they’ll raise some concerns,” said the former two-term Republican governor of Wisconsin, who lost his seat in 2018. But in the end, if people felt good about their health and the state of the economy, Trump will probably carry Wisconsin. If not, Walker said, “it’s much more difficult” for the president.



Walker is not alone among swing-state Republicans in his assessment of the president’s political prospects. Interviews with nearly a dozen former governors, members of Congress, and other current and former party leaders revealed widespread apprehension about Trump’s standing six months out from the election.

OP is a couple thousand LIKELY voters -so it's the biggest sample size out there.
But a poll this far out is just a look at the demographics as much as anything

A poll that covers several states doesn't really show us much. Florida has more population than the next 2 states combined. If Florida is 6 points for Trump and Michigan and Pennsylvania are 2 points against him the poll would show Trump with a 2 point lead but Trump would still lose 2 states that would put Biden within 1 state of winning the Electoral college.

If Biden wins MI, PA and AZ along with the other states he leads in, he will be the next President.

Unemployment is spiking at an unprecedented rate. Consumer spending is vanishing. And GDP is collapsing. History shows that dreadful economic trends like these spell doom for sitting presidents seeking reelection.

The coronavirus recession will cause Trump to suffer a "historic defeat" in November, a national election model released Wednesday by Oxford Economics predicted.

The model, which uses unemployment, disposable income and inflation to forecast election results, predicts that Trump will lose in a landslide, capturing just 35% of the popular vote. That's a sharp reversal from the model's pre-crisis prediction that Trump would win about 55% of the vote. And it would be the worst performance for an incumbent in a century.

"It would take nothing short of an economic miracle for pocketbooks to favor Trump," Oxford Economics wrote in the report, adding that the economy will be a "nearly insurmountable obstacle for Trump come November."

Havana has really latched on to this one. We have been doing a lot of sanitizer fogging, and it has been shorting out computers. I would strongly recommend not pouring alcohol on anything with electricity in it.
 
This is awesome news. Heil Trump!

Anyway. We do have to prepare for the future. In the past I was an advocate of providing every woman a free coat hanger to prepare for the repeal of Roe V Wade. However I have since realized that is not enough. With the hanger we must also provide a pamphlet either FDA/CDC/whatever relevant agency approved to give scientific instructions on how to use it. We could also leverage the power of Youtube and other social media platforms by having famous Youtubers perform one live so that our female population can have a step by step guide on how to go about it.

I also did tentatively approve of the handmaid system but we do have to admit that if you get assigned someone like Tammy Duckworth for example you are just SOL. That strikes me as a system that is massively unfair. Before we implement this system we have to get rid for lack of a better term lets call them "uggos". I think the easiest way to do this would be to just trade them to other countries for women who would fit the handmaid system better. Of course we dont want to be accused of racism and we want our friends in the left to support us so we can trade the tammy duckworths of the world for attractive asian/latin/black/ and yes even european women. This will ensure that even if the luck of the draw is not on your side you would still get an ensured minimum level of handmaid. The left also gets to claim they are accelerating thier victory as we will be trading of our uggo whites to accelerate demographic shifts.

Anyway. Just a few ideas for the start of the 2nd Trump administration. Hopefully we can have Trump second of his name continue the legacy of his father afterwards.
