Trump will be long gone by the time white voters are no longer a majority. And, they will still be a plurality for many years and older and vote in much higher numbers than young minorities who have the lowest voter turnout.

The shift in power will go to those over 65 who will increase by 50 million by 2060 and surpass the number of those under 18. Those over 65 have the highest percentage of Republican voters.

That means you are assuming voting groups change over time. That will most likely happen to other groups as well. New issues and new generations of voters change voting patterns. The working class voted Democratic for years and now vote Republican. Males and females voted the same for years and now there is a gender gap. Blacks voted Republican for years and now they are Democrats and the South voted solid Democratic and now they are Republican. Young people voted Republican in the 80's and now they vote Democratic.

Those in the 45-64 age group voted for Trump the same percentage as those over 65. So in 20 years that age cohort will still be voting Republican.

It is stupid to think how groups vote today will be the same 20-30 years from now.
