Government interference that causes it is not enforcing boarder security, not deporting, and not enforcing law. And yes Republicans are just as guilty.

This is government's main purpose. So they aren't doing their job that's interference.

Lack of boarder security is one issue I disagree with libertarianism with.

Agreed. Socialism doesn't work in a system of limited resources. Consider the "Star Trek Universe" where unlimited energy exists. It's a socialist system where everyone is given a space to live, food to eat and healthcare. If a person wants to spend their life smoking pot and playing their guitar then they are allowed to do so. It costs others nothing since resources are unlimited. OTOH, if they want to join Star Fleet, they must earn it. It's a merit based system.

Without unlimited resources, a Federal Constitutional Republic fueled by a regulated capitalist economy is the best human beings can do...for the moment.

So why should we start moving toward communism? At least as things are now the poor aren't starving to death.

Right the way I've heard it explained is we have to do away with the idea of property. Even in the startrek universe that isn't possible because the planet is limited. Food and material are able to be replicated. But planets aren't.

Property must be infinite in order for it to work. Only then will people not covet. There is always a better location.

With interstellar travel, the property issue becomes moot. Like the colonization of the Americas by Europeans; there will always be those seeking adventure and a new life and there will be those who are content to stay in their hovels of the "old country" and live their entire lives within ten miles of their birthplace. Trying to confine the adventurers or push out those who like their hovels will always result in problems. Best to offer both options so everyone can be happy.

I think if we ever get to that point it will be the end of humanity. I think the desire for more is one of our key driving instincts. It's why communist/socialist regimes can't work. There will always be someone who wants more. Or people looking for adventure. In socialist are communist regimes these people have to be executed or they'll rip it to shreds that's why there's sometimes genocide.

Strongly disagreed. Despite the fact all human beings share 99.9% identical DNA, our personalities run the gamut of people who like living in beehives and those who like the wide open spaces.

For socialism to work, there needs to be unlimited resources along with the outlet of space travel for those who are discontent to live under such a system.

You seem to glorify colonialism & adventure.

Colonialism was evil.

Covid-19 & losses of culture are also evils caused by adventure.

The World would probably be better off if we just more or less stayed in a smaller region.

Communism is bad.

But I'm tempted to say it was not this bad.

20% wage losses in 2 generations is more like a Communist failure.

But. This is happening under Free Market Capitalism.

Communist societies of Eastern Europe became more homogeneous after WW2.


Capitalist societies in the Western Europe & the Americas decided to create less homogeneous societies.

Now today Russia is not richer than in the 1980s.

It is Capitalist & filled with Muslim illegals.

Moscow in 1990 was about 1%Muslim.
Today Moscow is 25-30% Muslim.

The Capitalists are the issue.

In Poland the Capitalists in the past years have complained about labor shortages.

As a result nearly a million Ukrainians came to Poland in 1 year.

More & more Chechens, Vietnamese, Chinese etc are moving to Poland.

The issue is Capitalism.

I support private property.

But, I do believe in more parkland.

Private property is important it empowers peoples rights & gives them pride & potential to be more self reliant.

I actually believe more like Libertarians on this issue.

Property taxes make you property of local governments.

Property tax is also counterproductive to all classes.

If we stayed on our continents.

The Native Americans wouldn't have suffered along with others.

Same applies to the spread of Covid-19 or HIV/ AIDS.

Same with invasive species & Blights to trees like the American Chestnut.
