I try to always be careful with my word. I think the Supreme Court could take the issue up, and then we could still have a trial before the election. Looks feasible to me, Chutkin is one who is known for pushing for early trials.

trump succeeds again. He knew that he's making bogus arguments. He got the trial off the books for now.

Which was the only play he had in the first place. Same for every other crime he committed.

From what I read this morning, Trump's lawyers want the entire en banc hearing first. Just more postponement tactics.

I did the math, if the S.Ct. Doesn’t take the case the trial likely starts before June 1.

The order by the Appeals court makes it right. My repeating what they said doesn't make it right. It just points out what is right.
The order states that Trump has until Feb 12 to appeal. If the SC doesn't grant a stay at that time, the trial can proceed. If Trump attempts to appeal to en banc then the trial can proceed.

If the supreme court decides to take Trump immunity case, they will slow it and no trial will happen before the 2024 election?!! The three judge panel took a damn month before deciding Trump had no immunity?!! There is no case for immunity for Trump and the supreme court should not take this case especially if Thomas does not recuse himself from this case?!!

Not a lawyer, but SCOTUS may not elect to rule on it and simply leave it to the lower court.

That is because it was a unanimous decision and they spent a month making it foolproof. Lawyers say it is extremely well-written and thorough. That decision will be part of law classes for the next century unless Trumpys succeed in blowing it all up. The Supremes will read it and then pass it back to lower courts. The only worry is the court may sit on it for a long time pretending they are trying to make a decision. If they stall for a couple of months, Trump may escape justice for his election crimes.
 
Here's a question for Trump chumps: how many of you can honestly say you can afford to stay at one of your hero's hotels for one night or more WITHOUT breaking your budget for the month or year?

What kind of moron? Read the right-wing Trumpian posts on this board. There are many who are 100 percent in back of Trump. all the time posting here. The Supremes will understand the decision. They cannot hear it. But a couple of Trumpys on the court will try to delay it as long as possible.
