Trump Melts Down at Being Fact-Checked Right to His Face [wrongly deported dad]

As an English teacher, I'm fine with focusing on pronouns, but "Magats" isn't one of them.
You should since you are one.
1. Conspiracy theorist
2. Anti-vaxxer
3. Pro-Russian/anti-Ukraine
4. Anti-Constitution and the American Republic.

Are you Russian, Scott? Some other anti-American foreign POS the CIA can target?

Ok... I hear a different conversation than you do.... But the tattoos are MS13 symbols... And really that's what matters here...
The fact that they are not on Garcia's hands and were photoshopped in, means nothing to you? You are seriously weird.

I find it sad that there's almost no room to be someone who finds strengths and weaknesses on both sides- it's almost become what George W. Bush said back when some people weren't so keen on his ideas of invading various countries: "You're either with us or against us". Very sad indeed.

the symbols were not photoshopped in - the label of what the symbols mean were

crying that subtitles in a movie are confusing the audience is pretty damn funny

After Trump showed that photo, Garcia's hands were checked, and he had no tattoos. They were photoshopped in.

any photo with a clean hand is what is photoshopped retardo. we know with 100% certainty that he has symbols on his hand retardo.

your echo chamber level of ignorance is hilarious

his own lawyer explained his tattoos. wow, you believe anything the left lies about. derp derp nordderp

nordretard - he has a clean hand derp derp

his own lawyers - The tattoos on his left knuckles—a marijuana leaf, a smiley face with x's for eyes, a cross, and a skull—were simply because he liked how they looked, and "he thought tattoos were cool".

@Nordberg - anyone as fucking stupid and gullible as you needs to stop voting ASAP

You have no idea what you and people like you are doing to the Great American Experiment. We fight to save the country, and you fight to give the president imperial powers. You are fighting to end America as we know it and install the dictatorship that people like you need to have any direction.

I'd prefer to use the term Trump supporters or at least MAGAs without the t, last thing I want is a flame war, but I think it's generally hard to change anyone's strongly held beliefs, regardless of what they are. All any objective person can do is provide evidence and hope for the best.
Magat is not just an insult but is actually the far more appropriate and defensible term.

There is no truth to the 'Make America Great Again' movement, as pushed by Trump, being one that if fully enacted would make America better. Trump's fever dream for America is Putins kleptocracy, in Russia. ONe that would destroy the American Constitution and loot the country to the benefit of himself and his favored oligarchs.

In contrast a 'magat' is one who feeds off the dying remains of something and gains benefit via that death. That is EXACTLY what the magat movement is pushing to do.

I suspect we may have to agree to disagree here.

I can certainly agree that Trump has many policies that actually make America worse. That doesn't mean that many people in the MAGA movement believed his policies would generally make America better. I imagine we can agree that at least some of them have become disappointed at this point.

Trump's fever dream for America is Putins kleptocracy, in Russia.

Trump's efforts to try to reach a better relationship with Russia is one of the main reasons I thought that he might actually be better than Kamala in terms of running the country. I for one would like to avoid a nuclear war between the U.S. and Russia. The war in Ukraine continues despite his assurances that he'd have the matter dealt with well before this point, but the fact that he's still -trying- to find a peace plan is encouraging in my view.

There have certainly been people I respect who believe that Trump was the oligarch's candidate for President. Chris Hedges said as much a bit before the U.S. federal election:

Trump's "peace plan" is Ukraine quitting the battle, giving Putin large sectors of land including some he has not taken, and accepting Putin's no NATO for Ukraine. That is surrender.

I really don't think so. The way I see it, the war in Ukraine can only end in one of 2 ways- either Russia essentially gets what it wants or the U.S. and Russia start a nuclear war with each other. I know which one I prefer. How about you?

Those are not the only options. If Trump supported Ukraine instead of Russia, it would be different.

I strongly suspect that they are, but I'm certainly willing to see any evidence you have to the contrary.

If Trump supported Ukraine instead of Russia, it would be different.

The Trump Administration -does- support Ukraine and clearly doesn't support Russia. You're confusing Trump being at least a little realistic as to what's possible, as well as Trump's aversion to starting a nuclear war with Russia, which I hope we can agree is a good thing. He even brought up the whole nuclear war thing during his tussle with Zelensky at the White House.

Interesting article from the Daily Beast today on Trump's interview with ABC. Quoting from the introduction and conclusion of the article:
**
President Donald Trump complained that an interviewer for ABC News wasn’t “being very nice” when he refused to back up the president’s claims about a Maryland dad who was mistakenly deported.

During an interview Tuesday with Terry Moran to mark the first 100 days of his second term as president, Trump insisted that Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador’s brutal CECOT mega-prison on March 15, had “MS-13” tattooed across his knuckles.

[snip]

When Trump first shared the photo on April 19, internet sleuths argued it was misleading because Trump did not make it clear that the image had been digitally altered to include the alleged gang “context.”

The president’s online defenders countered that it was obvious the letters and numbers had been added to illustrate the president’s claims. Trump’s exchange with Moran, however, made it seem like Trump believed the letters and numbers were part of the original tattoo.

“That was Photoshopped? Terry you can’t do that,” Trump told Moran.

“Hey, they’re giving you the big break of a lifetime,” he continued. “You’re doing the interview. I picked you because—frankly I never heard of you but that’s OK. I picked you but you’re not being very nice. He had ‘MS-13’ tattooed—”

“We’ll agree to disagree. I want to move on to something else,” Moran said.

“Terry. Terry. Do you want me to show you the picture?” Trump said.

Moran said he’d seen it, and repeated again that Abrego Garcia only had tattoos that can be “interpreted” as evidence of gang membership. He tried to turn the topic of conversation to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but Trump wasn’t having it.

The administration has tried to justify deporting Abrego Garcia, a migrant from El Salvador whom an immigration judge had granted a form of legal protection called a “withholding of removal order,” by saying he’s a “terrorist” and a member of the notorious MS-13 gang.

The 29-year-old is married to a U.S. citizen and was working full-time as a sheet metal apprentice when he was suddenly detained and deported without being allowed to appear before a judge.

He doesn’t have a criminal record, and no court has found him to be a member of a gang. Instead, Trump officials have offered up tenuous evidence of Abrego Garcia’s MS-13 “membership,” including the tattoos.

“No, no. Terry. Terry,” Trump insisted. “No, no. No, no. He had ‘M-S’ as clear as you can be, not ‘interpreted.’ This is why people no longer believe the news, because—”

At that point Moran—who had responded to Trump’s earlier digs with a smile—sighed the kind of deep sigh that parents of toddlers know well.

He pointed out that the word “MS-13” doesn’t appear in any of the photos of Abrego Garcia that have been taken since he was deported to El Salvador.

“Terry!” Trump interjected.

“Ukraine, sir,” Moran practically begged.

“He’s got ‘MS-13’ on his knuckles, okay?” Trump said. “You’re just such a disservice. Why don’t you just say, ‘Yes he does’ and go on to something else?”

“It’s contested,” Moran replied. “Ukraine.”
