The political leadership and general corruption killed Atlantic City.....they had a chance to be awesome and sustainable and they pissed it all away in order to put money into pockets of a few.

Then it was a really bad idea to try to have the biggest most expensive casino with the highest overhead ever in such a location. A very poor business decision. Face it. Trump didn't know what the heck he was doing - went on a hunch instead of a solid business plan. The place had to pull in $1.5 million a day just to pay the bills. There could only be any profit after that threshold was reached.

And then, after he lost it all, just how did he manage to get bailed out? How did he pull off a come-back after no US bank would loan him money any more?

Investigators in many countries want to know.

OH PLEASE....The conventional wisdom for years and years and years was that Atlantic City was going to be the next Las Vegas, that it was a sure winner.

Now it turned out that no one did the work to make that happen, but that is another kettle of fish.
 
Just Trump's casinos went bankrupt. The others did fine. Trump bankrupted 3 of them. I think we all know casinos are a lock to make money. Trump did poor financing deals and ran them badly. His dad had people go to his casinos and buy millions of dollars in chips and take them home. That could not save him.
