Careful. First realize what a 'fact' actually is.
A 'fact' is not a Universal Truth or a proof. A 'fact' is simply an assumed predicate. It's a shorthand so you don't have to declare the predicate itself over and over.
For example:
For anyone that has read Tolkien, they can consider it a fact that Hobbits have hairy feet, since Tolkien describes this race this way.
But that is not a Universal Truth. The moment someone in the conversation disagrees with a fact, it is no longer a fact, and it becomes an argument.
