I think Putin wants a cease fire he cannot afford the sanctions that Trump will impose.

Agree, the Russian economy is a mess and Putin understands clearly what awaits him and his country if he opposes a ceasefire.
President Trump means business when it involves stopping the killing.
Putin had better watch out. It Trump drops the hammer on Putin's economy it might cause an uprising and he could lose control.

trump will once again stare adoringly at Putin, and nothing will change. They will agree that Ukraine must meet Putin's demands, and Zelenskyy will tell both of them to fuck off.
One interesting issue is that U.S/Ukraine minerals agreement. Zelenskyy backed trump into a corner where he will now be forced to protect his new bounty.
They did a fly over Putin and Trump. They both stopped and looked up at them. Just a not so subtle message to Putin.
