Trump retweets a video saying ‘the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat’

That's exactly what should happen, and it shouldn't be partisan. The President appears to be having a mental breakdown. Do you really think this guy should have access to the nuclear codes?
so you are out there in la la land, trying to make a diagnosis by remote, which violates all principles of psychiatry.

I'd call you a quack but that's too kind. I'll just label you TDS as in this ex.

Never come to a gunfight unarmed. Good luck with that snowflake. The only thing getting "punched" down are the lie filled narratives of the FAKE media and loony left. ;)

The thing is, using Twitter to fight your enemies is like going to a SISSY fight!

Any SISSY can hide behind a Social Media Platform while acting tough and trolling the world.

Sissies just like you using JUST PLAIN POLITICS to insult and antagonize everyone you deem as your political enemies.

I looked for the video of the people cheering Obama's comment and could not locate it, can you supply it, please. The only source I can find says the statement was made in an interview.

The cheering was folks here. I'm sure you remember it, as I do. Some folks were butthurt, others laughed and cheered it on, but not one leftist bothered saying he shouldn't have said it.

That statement would not draw anyone who I was interested in engaging with. I've spoken at dozens of conferences. I never opened with a suggestion that a group of people should be killed. Not once.
a conference doesn't need an an opening line -you have a captive audience, not someone scanning a site.

It's a common practice like i said

Twitter/social media are the writers exact words unlike a Fake News report full of spin of what was supposedly said

Well, since I'm not a psychiatrist, I couldn't care less what my viewpoint violates. His behavior doesn't pass the smell test. He's up in the middle of the night anger tweeting. He's accusing people of murder. He's denying science. He is using his office to bully people into submission. Maybe you find his antics amusing. I would too if he still had his day job. I guess these are the qualities you look for in a leader. We're different in that way.

LOL. So, if I retweet a video with somebody figuratively speaking about something then I am not figuratively speaking about it? So, when Obama figuratively told folks to bring guns to a "knife fight" where republicans bring knives he was literally telling folks to shoot republicans, or was it figuratively until somebody retweeted it then only the retweeter was literally talking about shooting republicans?

I don't remember you going full Crybaby on Obama when he told folks to shoot Americans (figuratively)... so do you hypocrite much or do you just write the book about it?

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/bringing-a-gun-to-a-knife-fight/

Folks, don't be going full Hypocrite on us and not expect some attention for it.

First off, Obama was not President then, secondly, it wasn’t during a time when the country was experiencing a threat met best by unity, and third, repeating a movie quote and echoing actual implications of killing forty percent of all Americans aren’t quite the same thing

It is notable that when the media reports on Obama's statement for Democrats to bring guns to a fight with republicans they carefully put it into context.

Based on that statement, its obvious that you are the one who has never spoken to an audience. Or else you've never attended a conference. Either way, you just totally devalued your credibility.

Whataboutism, just because it was also
done by Obama doesn’t make it any less disturbing these people cheered the idea.

And in the Snopes article he included it discusses how then Senator Obama’s quote was criticized by the media, think Trump’s will make Fox news

LOL. But but but... He wasn't President when he said that, only running for it...

None of that changes the hypocrisy of crying about somebody else saying something while promoting the other as if it was in some other context. All of this is in that same context.

Only somebody trying to excuse their own hypocrisy in their own mind could come up this this piece of nonsense.

Hello archives,

“A video by an account called “Cowboys for Trump” in which the speaker begins by saying, “The only good Democrat is a dead Democrat.” The speaker quickly qualifies that he’s not speaking literally.“

“At precisely midnight, the president felt this was the kind of message that people needed to see. “Thank you Cowboys. See you in New Mexico!” he said in a retweet.“

“What lay ahead was entirely predictable. People are rightly pointing out that a president just promoted the idea of dead Democrats. Trump will have the kind of plausible deniability he craves — the guy even said he wasn’t being literal!“

https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...o-saying-only-good-democrat-is-dead-democrat/

The question becomes why? Why would the President of the United States purposely retweet a message that even hints at killing nearly half the American public? What is the purpose? What is gained?

Does it unite the country burdened by a pandemic? Does it easy Americans anxiety with current conditions? How does it help those unemployed? How does it show empathy for the families of the hundred thousand casualties of the virus?

What is the objective here, and is it worth it, especially given what Americans are experiencing?

I don't get the people who want to wipe out a political party or religion. What a dumb thought. It can't be done. You can kill people but you can't kill ideas. There is no way to 'wipe out the other side.' America was not founded on the principle of being left or right, but a platform for both to have their input into the way our government runs.

These people don't get the most basic concept of America.

Diversity of Political Views makes America Great.

The beauty of America is that we have a left and we have a right and everybody has the freedom to voice their vision of how our government should be run.

Of the people by the people for the people.

Hatred is not a part of that.

Hatred poisons that.

-so you don't understand writing with a "pull you in "opening line . It has to be provocative to get you to read more

Totally missing the point, where was the need for Trump to even repeat the quote/video?

The guy is President of the United States, which at the moment is experiencing a generational crisis, and the President is going out of his way to echo others saying forty percent of all Americans need to be dead? And you see nothing wrong with that?

he doesn't do but an occasional night tweet -have you ever posted at night?
Him and Scarborough have been accusng each other for years - there is bad blood. .It's called the "Bully pulpit"

I look AT HIS POLICIES WHICH WERE SUPERIOR IN ALL WAYS TO OBAMA IN THE ECONOMY AND FOREIGN POLICY

..and I voted for Obama in 2008 -so I can say that.

there is always a crisis..you sound hysterical and it's been explained over and over to you it was a figurative statement/OP -not a call to kill Dems

The other “context” is that we are currently in a generational crisis and the guy who is suppose to be leading America thru this crisis is going out of his way to echo implications that forty percent of all Americans should be dead cause they share different political views.

The guy is fucking President, and he is purposely dividing Americans at a time when unity is needed to confront that which threatens all Americans

Hasn’t been a crisis like this since WWII, no threat has been experienced by all Americans equally since WWII, as I said it is a generational crisis

And figurative or not, there was no reason to echo it, especially when the one repeating it is suppose to be the leader of the entire nation

No, it's unacceptable behavior from ANYONE, not just the President. It's the reason we have defamation laws. To prevent people from doing this. BTW, Trump and Scarborough were friends until very recently. This has not been going on for years, nor was there any bad blood.

I see then you are endorsing the President repeating the implication that forty percent of all Americans should be killed, nice, and raises the question, who would be left for you to hate

you leftists can either come around or be exterminated

Muslimes and leftists, all the same vermin to me
