But it is awful suspicious that not long after Trump had his meeting in the W H with those 12 Russians WITHOUT another American in the room the NSA / CIA / FBI came out and said there was an unexplained increase in the number of our deep cover agents being found and some killed, making it really hard to recruit new agents, and put our allies on edge that they could no longer trust the USA .

Point is it takes time to do these things ( build plants, production lines and other things needed to bring production back to the states ) and in the mean time we may have to go through a deep recession.
Large companies don't just have billions sitting around to build plants , and in case of the US auto industry these tariffs could do some big harm to them and they won't recover for some time if ever.
Do you realize something like 65% of the parts that go into a US auto are imported?
And to get them being made here would cost billions they won't have because they are being hurt by the tariffs.

Many ships have abandoned use of SDTC ports, spending the extra money to go through the Canal and deliver to east or south coast ports, then putting the stuff on trains to ship to west coast buyers.

It's cheaper, and product gets delivered.
