You mean the guns that Obama sold Mexican cartels in Operation Fast and Furious? Yeah Obama illegally sold guns into Mexican cartels. Trump shutting down the borders will shut down gun running into Mexico and stop smuggling money back to Mexican cartels . So if Cartels can't get guns and money for drugs because Trump has sealed the border it is pointless to try to send drugs to the US.

Nothing will stop drugs entering the US ever. The War on Drugs cannot be won. The singular undeniable fact of history is the more successes in actions the US government has seizing large amounts of drugs or disrupting supply, the more the price shoots up in the US and then even more supply and players come in to the market. The issue grows and does not shrink.
