Trump Screwed Up The Economy With Wrong Pandemic Response

I don’t need a job

I’m retired

You don’t need a job either

You don’t eat

You don’t sleep

You don’t breathe

You are a Russo bot hole

The great unplugging is coming for you

all the deposits in your checking account come in rubles.......prove me wrong.....

depends on what you consider success. I would think a man such as trump, who presided over the most corrupt administration in our history, who ran up the latest 4 year deficits in our history, who attempted to steal an election he lost by 7 million votes, will go down in history as a failure

Biden's been a complete failure and he just got started. Gas is over $5.00 a gal....

FJB

so would I......fortunately for Trump, those are all lies....

Do you need a list of every member of that administration that was indicted, forced to resign, or just quit when the facts came out? That doesn't even count Trump himself or his family members whose sole function in government were to enrich themselves.
Or can you justify the 8 billion deficit his administration ran up in just one year?
And yes, he brazenly attempted to steal an election, but surely a good fascist like you is fine with that.

Mostly not his fault my dear, but just look at employment numbers- sky high, or the economy. he has been a breath of fresh air

Yeah, when was the last time you went to the grocery store? Good thing you don't have any babies that are hungry, huh?
And what about the Afgan fiasco? How do you heat your home? I doubt you saw and split your own wood.

By now it is crystal clear. The USA took the wrong economic approach to deal with the pandemic.

Europe did the right thing. The USA did the wrong thing.

Here's the difference. In Europe, their economy was successfully placed on pause, then restarted when it was safe. They did this by making certain that jobs were preserved even when workers were unable to come to work. Governments made social assistance payments to employers to maintain payrolls even though no work was getting done.

The USA allowed workers to get laid off, businesses to fold. Instead of paying employers to keep workers on the books and maintain their health care coverage, direct payments were made to everybody whether they were laid off and needed it or not. That is not where the money should have gone.

Retrospectively, we can see all this now.

Europe has more experience at socialism. They know how to do it right.

The USA needs to learn some lessons from the far more mature countries in Europe.

We are so busy proclaiming we know how to do government better we don't pay attention to those who have more experience at this than we do. And if we know how to do government better then why do Americans have such a low view of the government we created? It makes no sense.

Europeans value their government more than Americans value ours. In Europe, the governments fear the people. In the USA, the people fear the government. How did this happen? How did we end up with trainwreck Trump and why do we refuse to admit it was a huge mistake?

More on the legacy of tRump's atrocities:

The Trump administration was ruining the pre-COVID-19 economy too, just more slowly

Key takeaways:
Long before the COVID-19 pandemic the Trump administration was squandering the pockets of strength in the American economy it had inherited.
Broad-based prosperity requires strength on the supply, demand, and distributive sides of the economy, and Trump administration policies were either weak or outright damaging on these fronts.
Demand: Most of the Trump tax cuts went to already-rich corporations and households, who tend to save rather than spend most of any extra dollar they’re given.
Supply: Business investment plummeted under the Trump administration, despite their lavishing tax cuts on corporate business.
Distribution: The Trump administration undercut labor standards and rules that can buttress workers’ bargaining power."

It's nice to know this thread died once I posted actual facts on Europe's massive economic failure due to lockdowns and such showing that the US did better... It's degenerated into blather and nonsense.

"FOLLOW THE SCIENCE!" they scream, as they ignore the science and when the science gets in the way of Big Pharma Profits lie about the science,

Oh those crocodile tears, my dear. When was the last time you cared about anyone other than yourself?

Hello evince,

Decades of Republicans cheating in elections did this

All documented by our own USA courts

Cold hard proven fact that the Republican Party has cheated in elections from the time of Nixon

And the Democrats did it after the Civil War. With equally devastating discrimination results to society.

Looking after our country is a 24-7 job of every American, but we simply have too many people who take America for granted. They don't realize we could lose it all. Apathy is what allows these horrors.

It's real popular now to hate government.

I think that's dumb.

We created our own self-government. Government haters are hating the very thing we created for ourselves.

They need to get better informed, stop listening to stupid right wing rumors and start being part of the solution.

But you can't tell them anything. Their rumors tell them not to listen to us. The oligarchy has the right wrapped around their bejeweled little fingers.

Hello leaningright,

Here are two gold ones.

LOL!

We'll find out in November if anything but the economy is on voters' minds.

Sadly, most people are not well enough informed to understand that inflation is world-wide, as Janet Yellen said. She correctly noted that it is unlikely domestic policy is entirely responsible for our current inflation. She's right.

"Yellen was asked about her support of last year’s American Rescue Plan relief package, also known as ARP, which has come under fire by some economists who claim the $1.9 trillion program has worsened price spikes.

Because inflation is high globally, Yellen said, it “can’t be the case” that ARP is largely to blame for the bulk of U.S. inflation. "

It's clear that Trump doesn't care about his less-rich followers at all. His policies favored the rich like himself. He was really looking after himself and begrudgingly had to help the rest of the rich to do it.

Most people of 'old money' always thought Trump was a kook and refused to have anything to do with him. There are plenty of rich country clubs that would not accept Trump as a member no matter how much money he has. And he is not invited to parties or social affairs with the 'in crowd' either. they know he is a cheater - racist - womanizer - bonkers conspiracy theorist.

Trump Screwed Up The Economy With Wrong Pandemic Response

Bingo!

He basically used the pandemic to fuel his hatred and political fires among his base with China, Mexico, the mainstream media, science, Democrats, Democrat Governors, WHO, CDC, Muslims, etc.

Meanwhile, The USA became the hardest hit by the pandemic with the most number of cases and deaths per capita than any other nation in the entire world.

Because it ran out of control, over a million Americans died and our economy tanked.

Trump wanted a very short shutdown. Democrat governors kept their states shut down for an extended period for political purposes

He abdicated his power

He did nothing

The states had to react to this themselves

So there were 50 different responses to the emergency

Fuck what he claims he wanted

HE DIDNT LEAD

he failed utterly to be a leader
