And now you're gaslighting.Whataboutism? I answered the post I was citing in that first sentence about Clinton. No whataboutism involved.

If Trump wants to pay out HIS pocket to keep the thing flying, that's his business. I'd say a 747 as a private aircraft would be expensive for even a billionaire to keep up if used a lot. I suppose one could do it, but why?I thought you hated, "whataboutism" - even weak stuff like yours.
The gift is to trump. The trump family doesn't need the plane to function as AF1 in private life.
That isn't "gaslighting." Here are examples:And now you're gaslighting.
If Biden or any Democratic president accepted a plane from a foreign nation, as a personal gift, you'd be shitting your pants and all those trump cult media outlets would be on fire, 24/7.If Trump wants to pay out HIS pocket to keep the thing flying, that's his business. I'd say a 747 as a private aircraft would be expensive for even a billionaire to keep up if used a lot. I suppose one could do it, but why?
Gashlighting is playing mental games with someone by trying to convince them that what they're seeing isn't what they're truly seeing. You're a gaslighter for doing it and also a hypocrite for calling out whataboutism while nakedly doing it yourself. That isn't "gaslighting." Here are examples:

Whataboutism is answering some else's claims with counter examples. I simply expanded on what was stated. I didn't give a counter example but rather simply stated that the poster's statement I cited was inadequate and true, not questionable.
This simply doesn't apply at all to anything I've posted in this thread. It's a non sequitur and something of a combination insult and ad hominem.
My understanding is that gifts given to Presidents by foreigners, except for trinkets, belong to America.
Ah, yes. "nothing to see here". The crypto scam and accepting an aircraft as a personal gift is pretty fucking new.
Yes he pulled a 400 million dollar jet into the Lincoln bedroom. Clinton got no money. It went to the Democratic National Committee. Trump is taking this for himself.Clinton did rent out bedrooms in the White House.
What I don't get is why this is being done at all. What's the point of this "new" 747 as AF 1? It's going to end up needing a shit ton of mods once the US has it to function as AF 1. It might need considerable maintenance work too. There just doesn't seem to be a reason for this deal being done.
Why are lefties so stupid?
No. If any Democrat accepted a plane from the mid-East or shilled his own brand of Crypto in the oval office, the right-wing media-sphere would be running outrage porn on every channel. We crossed the Rubicon long ago. At this point there is nothing "new" other than a difference in the variety of grift and corruption.
Wow on this we agree. Its hard for me to imagine anything more demeaning and moronic than acception a plane for presidential transport from a foreign government.
Yep. And who controls the trump presidential library foundation? Ah, yes - the trump family. The bottom line - this is a personal gift. This one is going to be transferred to the Trump Library organization that sets up his presidential library after his term ends.
He cannot accept the jet if it costs more than 20 bucks. Qatar is a big financial backer of Hamas. I wonder what Trump will give them?If Trump wants to pay out HIS pocket to keep the thing flying, that's his business. I'd say a 747 as a private aircraft would be expensive for even a billionaire to keep up if used a lot. I suppose one could do it, but why?
Says the guy who wishes gender on me.Why are lefties so stupid?
Greenland? I'm sure Qatar could use the ice...He cannot accept the jet if it costs more than 20 bucks. Qatar is a big financial backer of Hamas. I wonder what Trump will give them?
