Trump has to show his damage, and that means he has to reveal his finances.
Alex Jones did HAVE to provide all his financial information during the lawsuit but when he refused, the courts ruled in favor of the other side as a penalty.
So you are correct, Trump can refuse to provide the information and he will automatically lose his case.

Judges are not allowed to do that. Jones had a 7A right to a jury trial but the judge said "IMO you are being uncooperative so i am cancelling your jury trial right and finding you liable."!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Judges can't do that.

The seventh amendment applies to federal courts so TDAK is just being stupid when he keeps bringing it up.
As to Trump and the BBC. Trump would have to submit to discovery and the BBC would have the right to dispute any claimed financial damages which would require Trump turn over all his financials.
