I never heard of it either. Lived in Missouri most of my adult life; moved to the U.P. three years ago. Parental units were from Michigan but even so I still hadn't heard of South Haven. I wonder what his fixation on that city/town is, anyways?

That is different than a quarantine of individual states, right? Did Biden call for enforcement of such a lockdown, states and cities all across the nation are on lockdown, but when you look into it, it means nothing because there is no enforcement, its just words a governor or mayor said.

Because he has more of a clue at any given moment than #COVID-45 has in a month?

Not sure, but I don't think a POTUS (or IMPOTUS) has the power to order a nationwide stay-at-home order. He/she can, otoh, urge all of the states' governors to do so and perhaps offer incentives like FEMA and NG assistance with deliveries of supplies and so on.

I've lived in Texas for over 20 years and lived in Florida for 11 years but couldn't tell you every town with 4300 residents if my life depended upon it. Why he is so upset about it is amusing, but ultimately irrelevant.

True. He has occasional brain farts like that. A couple times he has accused me of being a Reichwinger and/or a Trumpanzee. I think he just shows up here to blow off steam and sometimes gets confused over who's who.

Agreed he doesn't have the authority. Working with the Governors and using Federal assistance as incentives is a good strategy.

It would be unconstitutional to do so. Better to lead Americans than to attempt to force them. Unfortunately, reason and good leadership are in short supply these days.

For the record I don’t think he should or would do this
