Silly. Trump has done lots of things illegal, immoral and unethical. Trump is corrupt and asked 2 countries, in 2 straight elections to interfere to help him. The old quid pro quo he tried to deny because it was important, he lost on. So now he pretends that it means nothing. There is nobody stupid enough to buy that. Trump's abuse of power is blatant and significant.
Trump could be caught red-handed and his 35 percent would still vote for him. This is all about those in-between. His corruption should drive many of them away. He is an embarrassment to America.
Well, we'll see. I don't hold out a lot of hope in that. Just a quick look around the Innernetz will show you that the frothing Donnie worshipers are still on their knees to their golden idol.

I haven't seen a problem with him. I've only noticed that he is the most polished orator of the bunch. Probably better even than Obama and Bill Clinton.
The problem I see is being gay will push away the bigots you need to win in the USA.
OTOH wouldn't it be so ironic (and such a slap in the face of the homophobic far right Xtian groups) if we elected a gay guy even before electing a female for POTUS?
I haven't been paying much attention to the (D) race, waiting for the field to thin out a little. I don't know much about Buttigieg and his stance on issues. Is he centrist? Left?

That is the bar you set? Then we deserve another Trump down the road. It appears you have not done any actual research on Buttigieg and are allowing the MSM to choose your candidate for you. Just sayin'.
After having him a mayor for three terms, the only good things I can say about Bloomberg are his excellent stances on the environment and gun legislation.
