The point that needs to be made is that the government handled Trump with kid gloves because he's a form POTUS, and he and his supporters still complain. If this had been an ordinary private citizen with illegally withheld classified documents, that person would be in jail right now facing federal charges. There sure as hell wouldn't have been "multiple attempts" to obtain these documents.

1) If Trump took classified documents to his basement in Mar-A-Lago is it not fair to investigate him?

2) If Trump lied about having more documents after having returned some of them, is it not fair to investigate that?
