Trump supporters need to admit that he is done!

During a panel discussion on "CNN This Morning" on Donald Trump's "grifty" attempt to raise cash by selling digital trading cards with a poorly-rendered image of himself on them, contributor Errol Louis said it is time for supporters of the former president to "grow up" and realize he is no longer a serious candidate for a third presidential run.

Everyone on the panel ridiculed Trump's latest attempt to raise cash, and Morris and CNN co-host Kaitlan Collins both pointed out that the former president is no longer doing his campaign rallies --even after announcing his third run.

After watching a clip of ardent Trump supporter Steve Bannon saying of the latest Trump endeavor, “I can’t do this anymore,” about the digital card offer and then adding, "I gotta tell you: whoever–what business partner and anybody on the comms team and anybody at Mar-a-Lago – and I love the folks down there – but we’re at war. They oughta be fired today," Louis weighed in on the fact that Trump's political career is rapidly coming to a close.

"Look, Steve Bannon has been sentenced to prison, he's supposed to spend time behind bars for defending Trump and so disrespecting -- well, the charge is contempt of Congress," Louis explained. "He refused to give any information to the January 6th committee. This is somebody who battled for Trump over and over and over again. And then he says, sounded to me like he was thinking out loud, 'I can't keep doing this.'"

"People are going to have to grow up at some point," he elaborated. "Trump and Trump-ism and what he means to the country is about how do you react to this person with the vulgarity and the obscenity and the different things that Trump brings to the table. Are you going to accept it, fund it, look the other way or maybe just opt out, which is the easiest thing to do at this point?"

NO, its better they not admit it, its better they keep on. If they admit it, we will forgive them, and then they will simply go at it again the next time a shyster comes about.

They did the same idolizing of "W" then ran when history proved his detractors correct. People need to learn about this group and the great harm they cause.

Conservatism has a CANCER and it kills people and weakens Democracy and threatens out existence.

In what way are they the greatest danger our Republic has ever faced? Because a couple unorganized and unarmed idiots got out of hand (and captured the capitol of the United States)?

Frank, there are millions who voted for Trump who condemned those who damaged or injured anyone at the capitol, if that's what you are pointing at. Why are we a danger?

We are in danger because of:
* the continual election fraud by Democrats.
* the discard of the Constitution by Democrats.
* the coup conducted by Democrats and of turning the federal government into The Oligarchy.

The conservatives and Trump are a danger because The Oligarchy should be overthrown and the nation needs to return to the Constitution again. If it can be done by peaceful means, great. It not...

The assholes who invaded the Capitol are a danger to themselves.

Trump and the people who continue to support and enable him...are the danger, R.

They are an existential danger to our Republic, because our Republic has (as its keystone) the peaceful transfer of power after elections. George III was amazed that George Washington would walk away from power. George III would have loved Trump and Trump sycophants.

No. The people that invaded the Capitol are a danger to The Oligarchy.

We are in danger because people like you are able to delude themselves to an incredible degree. It is amazing what you can convince yourself of in the face of overwhelming evidence that Trum not a criminal . His crimes were documented. He organized an insurrection. He tried to get the Georgia sect of state to overthrow a fair and honest election. Trump is toast. Somebody in the background is trying to determine if Trump is a bigger threat as a martyr tossed in jail, or being allowed to retire like Nixon.

I think Trump happened because we allowed Nixon to be pardoned.

I have considered that. Nixon said"it is not illegal if the president does it.' There were even Repubs who were offended by that back then. They voted massively on the nation's side. None will do it now. Cheney saw it as her duty to do the right thing and she got purged. She is an extremely conservative Repub. No way the reds can justify calling her a RINO. She is a red in every way.
The first day Trump stumbled into office he was fascinated by the powers he had and how he could use them for his benefit. He used to discuss the pardoning powers and how far could he go with them. It had to end this way. Trump always saw the law as existing for others. Trump was Nixon with even fewer principles.

You are describing yourself again.

He isn't. It is YOU discarding evidence. Evidence of election fraud by Democrats that has already been shown to you.
His crimes were documented.
Fiction.
He organized an insurrection.
There was no insurrection by Trump. The insurrection and coup was by Democrats. So far it's successful.
He tried to get the Georgia sect of state to overthrow a fair and honest election.
Fiction. There was no election. You can't overthrow what never took place. Discard of the Constitution. Discard of history. GA never chose any electors.
Trump is toast.
I assure you, Trump was never a piece of bread.

Nixon didn't retire.
Trump is not Nixon.

There is no crime.

Shhhhh, I want the guy to run in 2024, it would be the Democrats dream

Start dreaming. He's already running.

Is he?

Other declaring such, posting on his own website, and selling trading whatever the hell they were, what has he done that would make anyone think he was really running?

Opps, I forgot, your MAGA militia, you’d swallow anything he said or did, my bad

Trump said he is. That is enough for a died in the wool Trumplestilskin. I was always skeptical because it I way too early and he is not popular anymore. My guess was he assumed running conferred powers on him that made him free from protection. He knows what he did and he thought running would save him.
