Even if the Republic is somehow saved
by across the board Democratic victories in the coming weeks,
those who are supporting some of the most deplorable characters
in our nation's entire history will not be redeemed.
All those who openly support Trump, Vance,
and the other criminals running for office as Republicans this election
on fora like this one, are blemished for life.
If they talk about it here, they talk about it everywhere, without anonymity.
If the Democrats win, America may gradually heal,
and if America heals, the conduct of these Trump supporters
will be universally viewed as shameful,
and those known to be guilty of it
will be castigated forever,
not one bit less worse than the NAZI supporters in occupied Europe
were cast into the permanent role of pariahs for the rest of their lives.
Many of their children had to change their names
to be disassociated with their own parents and grandparents.
You Trump supporters are beneath contempt,
but the effort to cast contempt on you will be universal nonetheless.
Perhaps it's not your fault.
Perhaps you don't have the mental or moral capacity to realize how vile you are
and how contemptable you are.
Nevertheless, your fault or not,
you have a future that you won't enjoy.
Like Trump himself, you need to win to avoid hell on earth.
