Trump has never attacked the nation of IRAN.....not fired one weapon at the sovereign nation of IRAN....but Trump did take out the proxy Iraq/Iranian cohort along with SOLEIMANI.....MUHANDIS.
I find it priceless that congress is attempting to limit the war powers of our President....when Donald John Trump is on record declaring that the war powers act is unconstitutional. Trump should lobby the senate to make this NON BINDING resolution....a law that resends the 73 War Powers Act....and actually give the authority to NANCY to protect the United States of America. I'd love to see Mr. Trump sign that act into law. Talk about poetic justice. But the truth of the matter? Congress does not want that responsibility …….They want to reserve the ACT, just in case another democrat needs it again....if the democrats can put the people of the US back to sleep.
What would NANCY do if there was a terrorist threat in....say....San Francisco? Wait.....we have to call congress in for a special session. Priceless.

Mr. Trump defended against an attack on US SOIL (our Iraqi embassy)...it was the Iranian general that was in the nation of IRAQ.....with signs written all over the grounds of US sovereign soil (the embassy grounds) SOLIMANI is our leader...…...yeah...…..
This is transparent. They were looking for a CRIME to prosecute in a senate trial...…….now Trump is a war criminal for declaring war on IRAN...an impeachable crime. But just like the other fake charges....Trump has never, actually ever ordered anyone to attack IRAN. He simply used a congressional BINDING resolution...to take out a known TERRORIST found on a department of justice terrorist list. If the sovereign nation of IRAN did not want their generals head on a spike.....perhaps they should have advised him not lead a criminal attack on US sovereign soil....such as a US EMBASSY.

There were no imminent threats, no existential threats, and Trump did not heroically "stop a war" by ordering this assassination.
Trump used our military as a political stunt.
My advice is to simply assume Trumpf is lying his flabby ass off every time his lips are moving or everytime his fingers are tweeting.
Words have meanings, and if you did not what the word existential meant, you should have used another word.
An existential threat is a threat to our very existence - the most dire threat conceivable.
The was nothing "existential" about the threat from the Iranian general. It does not pass the laugh test.

I do not believe for a second Trump's claim that he had order the assassination "to prevent a war".
I am dubious that Pompeo was being forthright and truthful when he claimed there was an imminent threat from this Iranian dude.
But, I was not the one that got duped into supporting the invasion of Iraq.
